    Understood however if the tool creating the HTML fails to work properly then who's fault is that? /me points to software manufacturer. I'm simply pointing out that it's not the company's problem. It's a problem with the tool. They were suing the wrong people.

    Why not sue the companies making products for the blind. If you want to sue every company on the web for making a web site then you won't get very far. Sue the companies who make products that help the blind. It would get them working on products that read html properly or force them to fold.

    Oh wait.. did I say fold?

    Sad that we live in a world that allows this sort of fool to make another's life painful using our very own court system.

    You know.. I recently purchased a dog and considered petswarehouse.com for dog food and other needs. Having read this I can assure people that petswarehouse.com will not see a penny from me.

    Most of my family and friends have animals and have asked about these online stores. This sort of stupidity has cost this idiot many potential customers.

    Oh yeah.. and this is just an opinion based on observation. When I'm sued I'll ask him to be less of a dumbass. Maybe I can even get a book deal out of it ;-)

    I've been thinking of starting up a group for recovering Florida Voters. Something with the AA motto, our own 12 steps to recovery and so on.

    Once it's up and running we'll follow up with a Florida Voting for Dummies book. Maybe even a talk show tour to wrap it up.

    At least it couldn't make things ANY worse down there. Hell, it might even help!

    I'm hearing it will cost around $20 to download and $45 for the media kit. Hopefully when they make their announcements the price will stick. So far prior versions have been released around those prices.

    Heck, you can still download Solaris 8 2/02 for $20 (x86 and Sparc) though I'm waiting for version 9 personally.

    Are these guys serious? How many years has the software industry been operating? How many times have consumers purchased shotty software only to discover the software EULA basically gave the manufacturer all power.

    Microsoft would be bankrupt within the year if this was required. Personally I would be harrasing them every other week due to defective software. I MUST have my video gaming addiction filled regularly!

    Linux and BSD. Now those are platforms for real work :-)

    I understand your issue however consider this. Had this been a Microsoft program for Windows I doubt we would have heard about it this quickly. Perhaps in 6 months but not in a day or two.

    Thus the power of opensource.

    My only question is How the heck did this happen?

    I'm glad HP is making all this noise. We've been discussing whether to purchase additional Sun boxes or consider some of HP's products. Now we know how HP operates. My supervisor has swung towards Sun. Thanks for the saber rattling HP. Sun may not be perfect but at least I know what their problems are and CAN DO something about it.

    Palladium systems will be virus free for 2 weeks at most. I recall many people takling their products up like nobody could infect/crack their systems only to back down and plead for forgiveness. If there is a way in then crackers will get in. Apple, IBM, Microsoft all have lost the battle. Oracle recently said they were unbreakable. That lasted about a week if I recall.
