What we need now is energy-saving tech in mice. It feels like i am changing batteries constantly in my Logitech MediaPlay.
Does anyone else feel the same?
Ok, i assume that the offending controller on the t-shirt in question is the NES 8-bit controller. Even though there absolutely were gaming-systems before that time, the NES 8-bit is still seen amongst many people as a symbol of vintage gaming. Am i right? I mean, how uncool would it be to have the phone-dial of the coleco vision on a t-shirt that said "know your roots"? People would be asking if you were referring to amateur radio, ATMs or perhaps early touch-tone phones..
"(which contained pirated music etc)" .. No they didn't.

Because, you should be allowed to show maimed, bleeding iraqis and american soldiers on television, but not burn certain pieces of cloth. [/irony]
And if i may quote the words of the late Bill Hicks:
"Hey buddy, my dad died for that flag" "Really?...I bought mine...They sell 'em in K-Mart and ****..." "yeah..He died in Korea for that flag" "Wow, what a coincidence. Mine was made in Korea..the world is THAT big man..." No-one, and I repeat NO-ONE has ever died for a flag. A flag is a piece of cloth, they might have died for freedom, which, by the way, is the freedom to....Burn the.. ****ing flag you see??..Burning the flag doesn't make freedom go away, it's kinda like Free-dom ok?..ok. And they've had 4 cases in this country's 200 year history, so it's not that big an issue. One of the hotter smokescreens they've put down the pipe. I don't wanna burn a flag, but what business is it of mine if you do? Is it my business if someone wants to..Is it?...NO Is it my business what other people read or watch on TV? NO IT'S NOT...THANK YOU You see, when we talk these things through, it becomes a little clearer doesn't it? That's called logic and it'll help us all evolve and get on the ****ing spaceships and get outta here.
Actually, the HP windows recovery program (the one you get when you press f10 during boot) defaults to a kind of repair that only reinstalls the software that was delivered with the machine, that is: not your personal files. However, i have only given telephone support on this and i cannot verify how well it works. I can imagine that it could screw up an install however.
Also, virus writers, black or white hatted, should never do the work that every experienced sysadmin should do.
Kind of like having robbers in charge of security in a bank.

I see the Atari as vintage gaming too, but i don't see it as a SYMBOL of vintage gaming. See the difference?
Cheers to that!

I think what triggered the connection was the characters Avi and Waterhouse (?) doing business building networks between Asian islands.
Did anyone except me think of Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson when they heard about this?

Best headline ever. =)
I can seriously see how this would be important for the robot scientists, as it helps develop balancing and so forth.
The real question is: Do they want to tell you if it was a nuke or not?
Didn't China build a huge dam recently? What happened with that?

Depending on the body fat on a person, the pulse isn't always easily detected.
My head just exploded when about fifty different "Fat Yankee"-jokes popped up at the same time.

True, true.
Well, it pretty much covered it, except the fact that geeks will now be thoroughly screened at airports.
Surprisingly, Google is 5th in the list when you search for "Search engine" on google.com. After Altavista and Lycos even! :)
