Seems like they have concentrated on the instruments themselves. I reacted to this myself as i expected to see Kraftwerk mentioned somewhere around 1970.
On a side note, i am going to a Kraftwerk concert this week. I am very much looking forward to it. =)
Speed over water is often measured in knots in the rest of europe too, at least in Sweden. Old stuff, like the measuring of planks and nails and sometimes rope is still in imperial here as well.
Also, we 3d-modellers usually do this by hand anyway. Does this mean that we are going to see crappy 3d-game modellers making hi poly objects and simply run them through a little wizard to "make 'em good for the game"? =)
Guess i'm just bitter for not working with CGI yet.
Reminds me of Colin in William Gibsons Mona Lisa Overdrive. One of the caracters in the book, the little girl Kumiko has a "Ghost", or a Construct in a little walkman-sized box. It leads her in the escape from the violent collapse of her fathers business in Asia.
This idea could be really helpful! I am on my second year in campus and i still feel lost at times.
