No, it isn't. It's illegal to distribute someone's (identifiable) image if you don't get their permission in Europe. Thankfully, not every country has Anglo-Saxon ideology and I don't want to live there. In fact, I don't even want to visit those countries in my lifetime because I find people have no value there.
Right. So there's nothing wrong with Mr Brown wants to put cameras everywhere either, and if you don't shutter your curtains, that's your problem, because if anyone can see you, anyone should be able to record it for eternity. See, the rest of the world, especifically German (and Portuguese) people don't really like to live that way and have the right to make their own damned laws. You can keep your plutocracy to yourselves, thank you very much.
I really enjoyed Far Cry. Now they had all kinds of assets already developed when they were done with Far Cry, yet they made the decision when going to Far Cry 2 to start from scratch with brand new engine. Bad example. The only thing in common between those two games was the name. The developers took the engine and went elsewhere to do Crisis.
They care about how easy it is to put pirated stuff in it (or free stuff of various origins). I don't think he meant Linxu-type "open", but open in the sense of not getting in the way.
Fair enough, I was a bit dim as well. What I see as an issue is that HTML supporting H264 means Firefox can either support HTML5 or be free software, not both. It's much worse than having to rely on Flash, at least that's a plugin you can install in any browser. Now imagine telling people that Firefox needs this extra thing that someone somewhere is going to code, that's not going to win over anyone. Basically, I'm pissed that everything is getting very, very closed all over again and thanks to stupid IP laws there's nothing to be done about it other than breaking the law repeatedly to do what we want with what we buy (FF is free; what it runs on is not, hence the material aspect). God knows how this will be fixed.
Flash video was another one of my woes. It was very stuttery when fullscreen on my machine, even though any other video was fine. I'm not sure if it was audio or video related, or even video drivers.
From what I've read over time, it's purely an Adobe Problem. Of course, having stable and modern APIs would go a long way in helping them. It's almost there.
Well, I'm a FOSS fanboy, but I haven't really adapted all that well to full Linux, so no. I do use iTunes, that's why I don't like it, it continually jams, has no options for a lot of things, and other things. You presume too much, just because I don't like iTunes. Or Apple, the Microsoft wannabe.
4,5 aren't possible thanks to Intel and Microsoft. Having a tablet with a touchscreen seems to be an inexisting market. Sorry. A friend of mine wanted something like that too.
I bought (well, my parents) two calculators when I needed them because I could install whatever I felt like at the time. Without it, I probably wouldn't have cared. On the other hand, I see that what you sell is basically what I bought 10 years ago, so that tells me a lot about your business sense. However, stagnated companies usually die, no matter how much they squelch. At least the OMAP is cool.

Fixed that for you.

I surely didn't mean only code, that's not the only way to contribute. But you know that, right?

And what positive things have you contributed then?
Asswipe.
Could you keep your countries definitions out of my country?
Thank you.
That's on your country, not mine, thank you very much. Keep it, I wouldn't live there.

You fucking nitwit, she won't be able to use Firefox because Firefox can't implement H264 and still be free software. That's why we want OGG.
Idiot.

God, the sooner the better, let them all die. Especially if they like iTunes.
And binary blobs are nice too...
And "This flag makes shit work like Word95" is part of pratical, usable standard, right?

Tell that to the pharmaceuticals.

Seriously. If it is true, which I doubt, how's that different from BSA members?
Because he can choose to use the software however he pleases, or change it to suit his needs, etc.
Portugal is hardly the drug heaven that Time made it out to be. It's not that unusual to be fined for possession.
I've heard a lot of good things about Cowon and Sony MP3 players.
If gaming is your idea of grownup work, sure.
I see. You're insane. Nevermind, then.
If you have a shitty story, only trolls and drunken mods will come out, I guess.
