    1969, right after the moon walk.
    I remember watching it on our B&W set and my dad tried to take a picture of the set with his 35mm camera, it came out with huge black bands on the screen.

    When I was little I liked going to my grandparents to stay because they had a color set and we didn't. Cartoons, Batman, etc. in color was what I lived for. (Now I can see them in color on "Boomerang" and TV land...)

    I remember well that most people didn't have color TV in the early sixties because the sets were WAY too expensive.

    BTW, that comparison of $1,000 to $4,000 is wrong. The dollar has devalued by a factor of TEN since those days.

    I will not ever use this technology.
    It's a BAD idea. My books are my books and the information that's printed in them will always be there no matter what, as long as I take proper care of them.

    No matter what happens in the world, say some political wind blows and they decide that certain things are politicaly incorrect, with a few clicks of a mouse e-books planet wide will be "revised" to reflect the new "acceptable and correct" line of thought.

    History will be rewritten to suit those that have the power and need to rewrite history.

    I have many sets of encylopedias from the 20's through the 80's and I can see with my own eyes how history is being rewritten. LOTS of "facts" are revised on a regular basis. If you think it's not, you're living in a dream world...

    I'll have my privacy, I'll carry an RFID jammer on me where ever I go and intentionally jam and disrupt RFID recievers whereever they may be.

    And I'll equip my friends, family and anyone else that wants one.

    If I discover anything that I possess contains an RFID chip, I'll nuke it. Perhaps degaussing will kill them, perhaps now, but if nothing else, a shot from a 300,000v stun gun should do the trick.

    I sure as hell don't want a monkeyed with KDE.
    I don't care if they do that, but give us the option of selecting one of the three in the virgin form.

    I like KDE and I don't like gnome. I don't want gnome l&f or gnome components mixed into my KDE..

    Leave it alone or give us the choice but don't FORCE it on us...

    If they do I will dump Suse. I like Suse and would like to stay with it but not if they start jacking with things...
