If he has permission from Discovery to post these things, then he has it in the form of written permission. If he has this, then I would say go to court.
Depending on the classification level it could be treasonous for whomever leaked it.
I think our government is missing something key here that has been put into use more than once by our government during wartime and even during peacetime. I fail to see how they can not see this as a source to spread disinformation to the enemy.
You had me up until your last argument contradicted itself, otherwise you have very valid points.
Let's say that the government is collecting data on you. They know you bought a huge amount of diesel fuel, say you have some land and had a stump you were going to burn out. A few days later you purchase a large amout of fertilizer for revamping your garden or yard. You don't think some branch of law enforcement would knock on your door?
First decide what you are writing for, PC, web, or phone. From there decide the best language for what you wish to do. Perl, PHP and some JAVA interpreted code, not compiled (yes I know some JAVA is, but poster wasn't specific.) Not too much has changed since your glory days, save the dev environment handling most of your memory allocation and handling which should make your life easier. The tricks you learned still hold true, looping is still the same and in C++ or C you can still include your ASM should you wish, not sure if C# allows you to do this, I'm still learning the language. I have to say I love C# though, there is alot said about creating an app and not having to include 40 bajillion custom dll's with it. It just works with.NET installed that is the greatest thing. Hats off to MS for getting that one right. Something to consider would be what OS, different OS's will still operate in different ways, this should be taken into account as well. What it really boils down to is preferance, though the language you feel most comfortable in. C# is free from MS, Bloodshed is a free C++ compiler, there's always the Borland set of C++ tools. Of course PHP and Perl are both free. I would suggest staying away from Perl, I love the language but syntax and readability have since killed it for me once I saw how Python was to script in there's no contest there.
Who is to say that people won't photograph someones vehicle that they don't like and photoshop it into a situation that it doesn't belong in? What kinds of safeguards do they have in place to prevent that type of abuse? And would it be possible for someone to beat the accusation by claiming it was a photoshoped photo?
I might be mistaken but if I'm getting you correctly "internally hosted space", about $100 for a TB drive that translates to about $0.09 per gb. If it's internal why would you have to pay per year for that?
Let's not forget those that practice the "high sabrina" hold. For those that don't know it's the fake cop hold you see where pistol is face level pointing straight up with elbow bent.
This isn't surprising to me. Last Christmas I acquired a for pay hack, I revered it and removed the need to login and phone home (read, made it free), it spanned about 6 games, some Steam some PunkBuster. I sent an email to Steam, sent one to EvenBalance to inform them that I had this and was interested in submitting it to them for dissemination and inclusion into their detection engines. Next day heard from EvenBalance they wanted it, so I sent it. 3 days later that cheat was detected in all PB enabled servers. To this day no word from Steam. I reposted my frustration to the Steam message boards hoping for some kind of interest, I was met with random flames of the type "what makes you think they need or would want your help", and quite literally "VAC software doesn't make mistakes". Those are directly quoted from the threads. Anyone who has visited the Steam boards knows the latter is true from all the people that post about being banned and claiming innocence. So my response, I took the loss on the money I spent for MW2 and quit playing it. I actually jumped in a server a few weeks ago for 3 minutes, it was obvious the cheating going on, when you are kitted out with UAV jammer and watch on kill cam where someone is watching you through a wall walk crouched (read silent) not run through a hallway. Yeah VAC works.[sarc tags] So I'll stick with games that don't require VAC, those that do require VAC I'll only play if they are fully Co-Op and not VS.
Don't worry this will not really go anywhere. I fly R/C aircraft this things wingspan is so small that anything more than 5 mph wind would be too squirrely to fly. Notice all the videos are indoors with zero wind. I'd rather see this thing land on a line outside in real conditions. My bet it would land once out of a hundred attempts.
Say what you will about rotten.com needing to go away, I think it needs to stick around, I think depicting the finality of death and how grotesque it really is may cause some children to make better choices, "maybe playing with dad's gun is a bad idea", "maybe jumping onto moving trains is a bad idea". Everyone in the world dies, Americans just seem to be the only country that likes to shelter their kids from death.
An armed revolution of a measurable amount of the populace would only do 2 things. It would solidify the need for more police power, the whole (if we had more authority this wouldn't have happened), second the Government would declare Martial Law and send in the troops.

+5 Funny AC for making a sopapilla pun.

Makes me wonder if Google got the same take down notice??
I live in VA as well. Welcome to the Common Wealth, where Wealth is unCommon!

But would they really take organs for transplant from a diagnosed diseased donor?

While you're bullshitting it does sound like a good band name.
While true any idiot can use a 404, there still is alot to be said for someone that can use it and arrange something competently.
Welcome, and beware the GNAA troll as well.
I'm glad they have PhD's and I won't be seeing them on Dancing With The Stars anytime soon.
Silver Surfer won't keep him from it... in fact from /.'s earlier posting Guatemalan Sink Hole. The Silver Surfer is already helping to destroy the earth.
Come on now folks, I know I'm not the only one that thought that when I saw the pic.

There's a show called American Idol? When did it first air?
The teachers name is Wang, priceless.
Wow, talk about Epic Fail. The summary even says "with felt tip print head".
They have one, it's called RepRap.
There does appear to be a "Weapons grade lager"...
