    All I've heard is the same anti-Bush rumors and conspiracy theories I hear about every other subject these days. Bush makes hurricanes, Bush crashed planes into 9/11. Bush invented muslims as a scapegoat. Bush staged the moon landing. Bush stole the election.

    I'm no fan of Bush, but I absolutely cannot stand the pure bullshit thrown around these days.

    Theres a whole congress and senate just sitting around looking for a reason to impeach the guy.

    If you have evidence, I'd say show it to them.

    We only have one data element right now. Can you prove that it isn't an anomaly? Can you prove to me that the power we saved wasnt offset by the power used to deal with an unseasonably warm spring?

    You cant extrapolate "it doesnt help" from one months worth of data. I dont see how you can get any meaningful conclusions from it.

    I've been able to ride home from work with the top down in my convertable the last few weeks.

    Who fucking cares about energy savings or not, and quit trying to repackage every fucking story as "BUSH SUCKS", please.

    Also, there isn't enough data to conclude that it's had "no impact" yet.

    Al Gore wants me to unplug my xbox when I'm not using it, so it wont use power in standby mode and "every bit helps" - but nobody calls bullshit on that sort of idiocy. If the 0.05 watts my xbox uses when it's off is "helping", then so is this.

    All I see anymore is marketing crap disguised as "save the planet" feel-goodiness.

    Yes, I've seen the commercial produced by the "americas oil industry" of a rig driving around making the world green and beautiful.

    All diesel engines spew shit out, it's nearly impossible to have a complete burn.

    And even low-sulphur diesel is many times worse than the exhaust from a gas engine.

    Fall of the Foot Clan was pretty good for it's era, it was one of the earlier gameboy titles, and was better than TMNT for NES.

    The original NES game really isn't all that bad. Frustratingly hard, sure, but not awful.

    It wasn't the arcade game, of course, so thats a thumbs down of itself.

    Wake me up when they release Battletoads. Fuck turtles.

    Actually don't, I pretty much have the whole NES library on cart anyways.

    We'd have never had a gasoline economy if the tea totallers had allowed Ford to build his first cars to run on ethanol. We never will, for the same reason. So there's some food for thought. We're too fucking uptight to let people under 21 buy alcohol, even if it is for their car. Closest we'll get is 85%

    "life" isn't as delicate as we've once thought, it can be supported in extreme environments, and doesnt even have to be carbon based - on this planet.

    Sure planets could support "life". What you're asking is, could they support you? Maybe not.

    Earths precarious orbit and presense of the water and the particular temperature make it suitable for our type of life - or is it the other way around, did life suit itself to the rock we happen to be stuck on?
