How about the differences between American box art and Japanese box art?
There seems to be a trend to totally ruin the simplistic and quite often wonderful box art that Japan gets when a game comes to America. It's almost as if they (the companies) feel the need to dumb down the art here in order to reach out to a market that just does not understand videogames.
One of the most blaring examples is Ico. In America we get a box with some kid with a stick in his hand and a bunch of other random stuff on there. Sure, it does relate to the game but it doesn't make the game look very good.
American box art.
Sure, it has the same stuff that the American one has, the boy with the stick, the girl, the windmill, but it has a much more ethereal quality to it which more captures the feel of the game, which for those of you who haven't played it, it's more what the game itself is like, simple, quiet, and a visual treat.
Another example is Final Fantasy VII.
Scroll down to the bottom.
Compare the simple white of the Japanese to the more action-y (Cloud with his huge sword) American version.
Step 2) Sell it on eBay near Christmas for $100s over list price to some Midwestern mother who doesn't know any better and just has to have it for her spoiled kid.
Now all I need is someone to update the Google toolbar with this/ig site so when I push the button it will take me to my homepage instead of the standard Google site.
Or how about a cookie that is set on your pc so when you type in Google.com it will take you right to your/ig homepage? Hate to say it but I am way to lazy to type in/ig everytime I want to do a quick search on anything. Having the option to have this replace the standard google.com page on your pc for every search would be a nice idea.
The King of All Cosmos was a mass murderer.. 1000s of children, old people, animals.. all tossed into space to become starts. I'd hate to be the daughter of a mother and father rolled up on the beach during a summer vacation, watching them be thrown into space killed by the void.
People just working in their office buildings when the Katamari comes and sucks them up to their doom. It's such a sad game.
Nope, Wiley is owned by a Wiley family member and a whole bunch of stock holders.
Wiley owns the Dummies books, Frommers travel guides, Cliffsnotes, Webster's Dictionary, and a bunch of other things so I doubt this will make much of a difference.
Truth to that. Same thing happened to my boss while we were in a meeting with her.
Unless they take away the worthless sound ads or some guy comes up with another ad hack I am not going anywhere near it.
Sure, RSS is nice, but how about adding in something basic like distribution lists so I don't have put all the contacts in for each email list I send out?
I am not talking about some crazy Linux set top box that requires effort on my part. I am talking about going out and buying something and then plugging it in and getting it working like a TiVo.
So, what should I be looking to replace my TiVo with that would do the same things as it?
I switched over to the blue background / white text option in MS word years ago and have a hard time going back to the standard black text on a white background.
Did OOo add this in or are they still leaving it out? That is one of the huge reasons I have stuck with MS Office.. I just can't bare to write essays and papers with out the blue background option. Makes it so much easier on my eyes during long typing sessions.
I clicked on the link expecting to see a picture of a game that might have maybe looked like Zelda:WW if I squinted and the light was right. I thought it would be another case of a big company going crazy over its characters and art style, trying to shut down anything that looked like their own stuff, no matter how far from the truth it really was.
But then I loaded the page and saw the screenshot.
The Big N has a point.
That shot could easly pass as something directly out of WW.
According to Apple's website:
Core Image-capable graphics cards include:
* ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
* ATI Radeon 9600, 9600 XT, 9650, 9800 XT, X800 XT
* nVidia GeForce FX Go 5200
* nVidia GeForce FX 5200 Ultra
* nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL, 6800 GT DDL
So how is that a fully Core Image compliant GPU on the new iBook?

Um, the entire collection of the Travel Channel's Great Hotels?
The O'Reilly Factor?
The Tony Danza Show?
C-SPAN Book TV?
Is this stuff being provded by the TV studios?
What is the deal with Google Videos?
Where is all the content coming from?
Have you seen this series?
They levitate all over the place now.
I think this lets us in on the third step..
Step 1) Buy an xbox as soon as you can
Step 2) Sell it on eBay near Christmas for $100s over list price to some Midwestern mother who doesn't know any better and just has to have it for her spoiled kid.
Step 3) PROFIT!
How could it be considered that if there is that huge ugly black gap in the middle?
For that kind of money I'll just get myself an Apple Cinema Display instead. What's a couple more 100 dollars when you are spending that much already?
EPIII has a digital and film version. Besides for a cleaner picture does anyone know what has been changed between the two?
Like EPII I heard there were changes in some of the scenes. Where's the list?
Comparing the specs and all that between the two systems?

Should have used et cetera, right?
You haven't seen Gamecube games for download?
Hate to say it but you haven't been looking very hard at all.
Phantasy Star Online and the network adapter blew the GC wide open for cracking.

Everything ends up on newsgroups so would that mean a newgroup provider host could be considered someone distributing a pre-release copy of a movie?
This could be exciting, and this time it will be in total color instead of the migrane inducing red death on the original!

ICO had the same sort of thing going for it, right?
Shame that game is so underground. It was almost perfect.
Sure, RSS is nice, but how about adding in something basic like distribution lists so I don't have put all the contacts in for each email list I send out?
256MB DDR SDRAM ATI Radeon 9650 video card??? Give me a break. It's supposed to be a high end system.
"Or playing a game that takes place 500 years into the future and flying a, "Doritos Battlecruiser," into a fight? "
If you remember your history from the film Demolition Man you would know that it would be a Taco Bell Battlecruiser in the future.

I dont want to install.. just knoppix boot.
Anyone know?

That show only got one season. :(
