See, where you go wrong is that there IS NO classic American reasoning. We don't agree, and we like it that way. We can respect each other because we don't agree AND we don't violently overthrow our government when it isn't to our liking. In that respect, America is like no other nation on earth. There have been no coups, no military takeovers. Republicans didn't try to assassinate Clinton, and Democrats won't assassinate Bush. Americans can disagree without civil war. We have learned how to, and it hasn't been easy. I am an aggressive right wing american, but if anyone tries to harm my favorite leftist pinko hippie I will fight to the death to protect him. I served in the military, and every time I find myself angry at any particular political activity I simply remind myself that we all serve so that these actions of the people can continue. So the experiment goes on. It's not utopia, thank god, for utopias are one man's or one group's vision of a perfect world, and all who live in it must share the goals of the utopian society or die. Utopias are scary. Logan's run scary. And I will endure a million more hippies before I would let Europe or Asia decide the fate of the American people. So fuck you. For you, your little fairy tale utopia rides into town with a gun and forces everyone to get along and like each other. It's saccharine. It's illusory. Well, I don't like the KKK any more than you do, but it's their right to say what they say, and it's our right to both think what we want to about them for it, and say it out loud as well. These rednecks have to hide their faces because they fear the social consequences of the idiocy they preach. I'm glad they do. That way they are aware of just how tiny the group that thinks like them is. If you muzzle them, they go underground and start causing real trouble.
Luckily, your closing line reveals your true motives, and underscores the fact that these objections we're being told are from reasonable parties are actually being made by rabid, murderous America-haters. You just endorsed the deaths of my countrymen, you scum. I don't care if they're all massachusetts liberals. They're Americans and they're US. We. We don't agree, and it's ok. You, on the other hand, are different. You can't disagree without wishing death on others. That's sad. Maybe something to do with how you were raised?

It is legal in the United States to claim that the "JOOOOS" control the media, etcetera. It's also legal to call white people Crackers. True freedom is extended even to those who differ from you, and all of your friends. True freedom applies to everybody, even assholes. You're missing the fact that the whole reason for the USA is to not be Europe. We are not the same, and we don't think the same way in regards to people's rights. The true meaning of the Constitution isn't to promote some utopian vision of everyone getting along toward a common goal. The vision is more of a hundred million individuals each pursuing his or her OWN goals. That's how it's supposed to be. Structured, lawful anarchy.

Anyway, the book of Revelations is fascinating from a horror standpoint. Have you seen The Omen movies? Come on, the notion of an "anti-christ", kind of a balancing evil figure rising to power is an interesting premise. The surreal nature of the book is so over the top that it would be difficult to write something that compared to it.
And many Christians don't give a flying crap about the interpretation of Revelations, as it seems INTENDED to be cryptic. I don't know, maybe something about it being a puzzle to be solved at a later date. Even if it wasn't "divinely inspired" it's still way fucking weird. Think about it, man- an entire planet being used as a stage for a fight between good and evil. Classical storymaking. Okay, I don't get the cups, bowls, and seals, either. It's okay. Many great novels and movies have expanded on the concepts of the apocalypse as presented (or hinted at) in Revelations. And Pentagrams of blood are creepy. There was a FPS game in the early 90s with this theme, but I can't remember what it was.
Anyway, if you have gotten this far, I want you to know all the cussin' was for dramatic effect. I have nothing against you. Truly I don't like evangelical atheists any more than I like Evangelical anything-else, but I meant no ill will. Just funnin'.

Since men cannot live in an anarchic society, leaders of men must also live to international standards. War is fought to enforce this, or to steal territory, or resources. In the 1930s, the Japanese realized that their population was exploding, and their resources were insufficient to grant them any quality of life. To gain resources, they invaded China. It wasn't because they were evil, it was because they were desperate for iron, coal, and petroleum. Wars between fascist dictators are generally fought for the commodity of pride and appearance. The rants I have been reading on Xfree86's forums basically support my initial impression that David believes that he controls X in the free *nix world. It's funny that because of the GPL, the scenario being complained about (with developers leaving and funding a project for their own best interest) is EXACTLY why FOSS is attractive. You can MAKE LINUX AND FOSS DO WHAT YOU WANT. This is good news. This period of flux is also proof to industry that Linux and other open source software can recover from a setback faster than proprietary software can. Linux. That is a totally ridiculous post. What you're saying, without a shred of evidence, is that the existence of kP actively discouraged the abuse of children. Such a position would require some sort of evidence to back it up.
You than assert that there is no difference between a simple nude and a genital closeup. The difference is the clear intent of the photographer. If the purpose is to show the private bodily areas of a child for enjoyment by adults, I think most would agree that's kP for reason of lasciviousness. Your moral relativist post reveals more about your character than any insight into the facts of child abuse. Basically, you believe that nothing can really be defined as "bad" or "wrong" since the actual material changes between innocent photography and porn are small and incremental. You're saying that the existence of incremental changes between the two negates the perception of diffenence between the two endpoints. That's just silly. You are in effect saying that the existence of grey proves that neither black nor white can exist!
Furthermore, you imply that doing chores as a child is equally exploitative as being anally raped on film at seven years old. These arguments, while appearing logical, are simply the abscence of human intelligence in decision making. Human intelligence is discernment, and it's more complicated than boolean logic. You can't use OR and XNOR in everyday life because it doesn't work there. Real live has more than 4 possible results for two events. It is decidedly analog, not binary. I suggest you learn to tell the difference. Also, your attempt to blame Reagan for the "explosion" in child abuse reveals an ignorance of the topic. Child sexual abuse has always been prevalent. This is evidenced by numerous scientifically documented reports by sociologists and psychologists who document case studies of the profound psychological effects of child abuse. What you see as an explosion in child abuse is a complicated blend of factors including increases in reporting rates of abuse, the increase in publicity in the media, and a society which is increasingly sexualized and sexually narcissistic. It's not as logical as "A" therefore "B", it's more nuanced, such as "A, 50%", "C, 120%", "V, 105%", therefore "B=B+10". It defies your attempts to simplify, and any attempt to tie one single cause to it makes you look silly.

I know it's offensive, but here fag is used to describe a weak, sissy person, not merely homosexual. As any of us knows, there is a difference between a homo and a faggot. A homosexual is a man who likes other men sexually. A faggot sounds like he's from philadelphia no matter where he grew up, uses extremely gay-centric mannerisms, is generally prissy, girly overall, and generally not quite male. He doesn't have to be gay, just extremely effeminate and trite. It's used like the term "fanboy", to show disdain for those who have completely bought in and sold their soul to a particular affectation or lifestyle. See GOTH. Also POSEUR.

A truly gay man likes MEN. To like faggots you have to actually be another faggot, or a gay man who still kinda wants women. Or womany men.

Fags also like to overshare about their sexual exploits in an attempt to get a reaction from their "straight" friends- and by straight I don't mean heterosexual per se, but instead I refer to those of us who don't share information about whether our wives spit or swallow with perfect strangers and peripheral acquaintances.

I understand that the homosexual community certainly has much cause to maintain vigilance to prevent persecution. However, it is unreasonable for all unpleasant words to be purged from our society to please everyone. Fag will remain in the vernacular to refer to specific highly annoying mannerisms. Ask Chris Rock if he thinks the word "nigger" should be banned or neglected. It refers to a specific stereotype which is unfortunately reinforced by those who actually fit the stereotype. Some gays are also faggots. If a "straight" friend of mine team kills me in UT2003, then for the next 5 minutes HE is a faggot too. It's just how it works.
