    So if you over populate a planet, cut down forests, grow more food, what happens?

    You will change rain fall patterns, the mountains might still be as cold, but get less rain, thus the glaciers shrink, its still cold tho. They always melted, but the huge amount of new
    snow kept it balanced.

    So yes, the planet is warming, but its the cause thats iffy I think, is it 100% co2 based? doubt it, its not that powerful, and I bet the rain fall pattern change
    is a bigger factor. Its nice to blame peoples consumptions, but if we say, hey it doesnt matter how green we live, its the fact of this many people thats the problem, then
    the current people wont bother to live green.

    An orderly decline in populations is needed, 1 child policy, which will be massively bad for economies, but thats better than 50% of the population starving to death in a 12 month period.
    Mr Economist - take note, you cannot increase perpetually the population growth, learn some physics. Even nature knows this, if stars get too big they supernova.

    costs more in water+ferts+oil than what it actually makes, its a negative sum result, its stupid. You environmentalists are utter
    failures in maths.

    Now lots of countries are stopping exports of foods because they want to secure internal supplies. Add in a few natural disasters like
    cyclones in burma, and earthquakes in china, and new volcanos, and you start getting more mass crop failures, and surges in demand.

    If possible more people should grow local coop grows. Instead of fancy gardens or roof tops with concrete floors.

    does it really take much effort to scan two arrays of 64 bytes each? how accurate were the screens , if they werent that accurate
    then if the matrix was 64x64 area hits, then its no effort to scan that. and I do think you just need to two axis arrays. Werent the original
    touchs done that way by using a xy grid of detectors. As long as the hardware worked fast every 60ms, and the DOS code checked the array
    at that frequency too via interrupts or timers. Or did people use pascal and thats why it was slow?

    things are as per usual, and could be done ion .net or cygwin, or vbasic, or even perl.

    Win32 aint hard, its easy, even to make a game.... read the docs , do the code, if it all fails, read the docs again, and do higher
    level work arounds, not low level hacks, or try to work out some simple solutions, KISS.

    Google is your saviour, if it doubt, just ask it.

    Sure design is important, but you dont need to go too deep and design for a 15 year life span. Most marriages dont last that long and

    Just like stargate, have a rack full of usb3 slots, and 2inch long crystal shaped usb sticks with crystal CPUs at 128 to 4096 core cpus, just plug in live and bingo
    new speed ups in real time.

    Maybe computers will be just a skeleton, IO back plane with ports/plugs/sockets, no cpus, no ram, everything is plugin and go, ala HAL 2001
    4x10 matrix of usb slots, 2x10 matrix of microSD slots, 5x hdmi sockets, 10 optical sockets.

    And these days, embedded devices are way more capable than 10 years ago, ram is cheaper than water too.

    And if they start making $1 java chips then.... who knows what will happen then.

    Eventually, we will get 300mhz java chips for $1 , like we now get dualcore 1.6ghz E1200s for $50

    Yes log files are dead, even tho our app did process faster than anything, 3-5m lines per second on todays fast PCs (random benchmark spec, take your pick)

    Who knows maybe someone will make a analytics engine language in a few years anal++ ? analql? But in the mean time, these high price search engine optimization companies have little life left in them... go google or yahoo! take over the world!, (because investors & managers outside the usa have no clue to do the same)

    MS's biggest problem is bloat entirely because they always keep changing directions, always keep making mistakes, always keep inventing new APIs frameworks because
    the old one is too crap or not future proof. They always say, "ok we made a boo boo, heres a totally new funky api" so now we have an OS with 100s of APIs and versions of
    the same library, often running at the same time. What they should do is expire any hacks/apis that try to do workarounds to make >6yo stuff work. They try too hard
    to make everything work from win2.0 days. Stick to a simple api thats expandable, and dont keep making new layers or hacked versions. Its like having 94 libcs or 12 Gtks.

    Maybe if more people wrote static lib exes, we wouldnt have this problem, whats the point of OO if it never works and you need 34 copies of the same lib?

    This is because in a dark room, or at night the screen is bright white like the sun, and the rest of the room/desk is dark, the wide field of vision is very contrasting and thats what i hate and also the fact that it lights up the room like an alien landing.

    I wish more websites or at least firefox offered a 'inverse view' or reverse white/black in all objects. Maybe they should also offer a colour blind option too so that it can mod the hue.

    Safe JS, no java, sandboxed flash, no popups windows under any circumstances, (how hard is that really, come on firefox)

    Any downloaded .exe via a stupid user is immediately saved as a .zip converted file, with a simple password so it cannot be accidental.

    Oh and thats a note to all software vendors, stop placing .EXEs on the web idiots. Stop pandering to dumb prix. It just feeds the .exe is ok syndrome.

    That goes to many Sourceforge projects that make win32 builds with a .exe download, IDIOTI!!

    Infact go one step further, ISPs should transparently convert all .exe downloads to .zip, oh and scan them first then do a permanent firewall block.

    Fucked up govt pays millions to NSA to monitor users, but do they add any built in protection from virii traffic? no.

    So if you work for the govt, or are an NSA agent or some big wig, the onus is on you, get a clue do something that benefits society, not your paypacket and your wifes hand bags.

    Maybe its because its lazy and easy to get hardware from one supplier, but then again the contracts state that ram+hd upgrades also be done by DELL, at 3x the retail price

    So realy, adobe should up the price of CS4 by $500, and include a free PC with it. Call it a complete editing workstation solution for $2000.
