    ironic that you mention metalica, since that was the first CD I bought in pre 89 days, or sometime like that.

    Now the funny thing is, someone stole that cd of me, so i dont own it.

    I guess I have the RIGHT to download it of p2p now. But I wont, coz I have a 12% accurate copy in my nurons inmy head, (suck you riaa, you cylons) . So now I just listen and DL trance/rave/techno. Those old metalica dudes can live of their investments/sales/drugs for all I care and can go die of blood poisoning really. They are but a memory like a supernova 13billions years ago, utterly unimportant and free in my quantum nuron brain cells.

    Riaa btw has no clue, people can copy/trade 200gig at a time if they swap USB HDdisks with their friends. Personal P2P physical p2p is more efficient, though not as fast.

    So to those Riaa lawyers age under 30 or sales/marketing chixs (that screw around the office), your days are numbered and your careers are a joke :-)

    because 10k computers would be out gunned by $1-$2k BETTER amigas that rocked in full color and sound unlike the shit PCs of the day. Anyone today can make a D2A converter, even back then it was trivial to make a D2A converter , to embed that to reading ram via DMA and piping it out... trivial. Seriously, not many transistors, just a good design.

    Look, ext3/2 blows, its garbage

    I put 2 120gig HDs in my system and ext3 wouldnt mount the 2nd one, so I gave up and use finaly reiser3 and bingo it mounts.

    DUDES, if you gona code and make some thing fail, learn how to communicate a decent error message.

    That goes to apple too, darn -3136 errors , its not like the HD space is low for 500chars of text.

    Funny how an article recently in the paper sites that australias laws have trippled in size from ~3500 pages to ~11000 pages of common law.

    Either we have too many sad sad bloated laws like bad bloated MS CODE, or the lawyers dont have a clue on how to write english.

    Common lawyers, get a fricking clue, either write it so its concise, or use bloody flow charts to show logic/flow.

    Any one who wrote like a lawyer for a manual or a planning document would be FIRED or given a zero in college, why do lawyers get away with such utter arragance and incompetance.

    Well, if you start saving at 15, and save for 10 years till your 25 while living with your parents , then you could afford to put down 70-80% down on the home and pay the rest as a small interest loan.

    Houses are only really expensive because they are artificially hihg, why are they 10x over 20 years? Not inflation, its because of DEMAND and excessive taxes and rules and more price hikes.

    Why does a brick labourer get more $$$ than a low-end programmer? ANy programmer can learn to be a bricky in 4 hrs, but any bricky would need 4 years to become a entry programmer.

    Too much wealth is going into housing and the credit market that services investment funds for the old people which had it easy in the 50s/60s.

    Personally interest is ok with me, but only at a low level, like 3-4% at the final level, not the bank to bank level.

    If ratest must be 7-15% because of "RISK" then ok charge me 15%, but once I finalize the loan and its paid for, the risk is ZERO, so payback the difference. Why should I pay 15% to cover your 1% losses of bad loans? Maybe the 'extra' for the risk should be 1% higher, not double.

    So if only 1% of users are like you, then we will take all hits from your 'case' and divide em by 100, and add that to our unique users count. There you will be counted, but fairly. Its all about have 2 trees of decision, and counting both totals and using a percentage of each for your final tally. A great accurate result at a low resolution of time, (think audio khz, 1hr = ~.000027 hz) So just as a photo of mars showing the whole thing - vs a photo of a one tiny rock. A wider low res gives us a new 'global picture' that is both accurate and both very very low detail. Call in statistical anti aliasing.

    You will never know for 100% sure, unless your site DISALLOWS all nonauthenticated user logins, and shows zero content except a signup page.

    So a rough guess of

    UNIQUE USERS = (UNIQUE IPS - REAL UNIQUE LOGINS) /2

    Will be spot on across the average of the whole planet for all 2 billion websites.

    Mmmm gota luv statistics. Averages are your friend.

    THe best way to 'shame' the admins publicly, is to crack it on your pc or laptop at home, print out the passwords, and then covertly, where there are no cameras, or if its REAL REAL busy with your sly quick hand, pin the passwords to the main notice board, then watch 50 other idiots use it to really screw up the system.

    The school would be real real dumb to expell or terminate 50 students accounts.

    Or if your really brave, get some weed killer and write the password on the front lawn, and watch it magically appear over the weekend. Totally funny and covert. Admins would get the sack and they would be a school legend.
