by that reasoning (bear with this one): you shouldn't bother putting eggs in... they're a waste of the chicken's energy. just put the chicken into the battery... but the chicken is a waste of energy, since the chicken had to eat grain. Therefore, just put the grain into the battery... but the grain is a waste of energy, since it's a processed plant seed. Just put the plant from your backyard in.
In the end, you still throw out your leftover food, which is a waste.
more like: what's this little tube sticking out of the seat? Just stick it up your arse, and here, have another bean burrito... long trip to california.
in the US (oh, here it comes) it depends on the amount of coverage you have. For instance: minimum coverage only protects you from being held financially liable for the damage you have inflicted on some one else ('s vehicle). If you opt for more coverage, act of god/force of nature coverage is quite common. Of course, the price you pay is proportional to the amount of coverage you have.
I would actually like to say that the latest version of mozilla has won me back. It finally works: really good. I even tried it from windows, and it brought a tear to my eye. I was reminded of the day of Netscape 4.x (a beautiful time), when Netscape was THE browser, and all others were not even close to being good enough. Thanks everyone who has worked on the Mozilla project.
so, microsoft likes piracy (as long as it isn't in the US), but RIAA doesn't? ok, #2 isn't news, but i really am confused as to why bill gates would enjoy the idea. i thought M$ was all about money.... ok, that's it, i'm moving to China
i'd love it if your comment was always true, but what about #3: they do happen, especially when electricians come in to replace a lightbulb, GFCI, breaker, or anything else. trust me, they rarely get the cables plugged back into the right holes.
even better yet, my university is full of lusers who forget that they left a floppy disk in their A drive, and proceed to call in the techs to fix their 'broken' computer....
the 'brain drain' refers to the trend in pennsylvania for students to take advantage of a good higer educational system, and then move to states where the cost of living (and therefore wages) is higher
being a pennsylvania resident, i should say that this is not a case of 'imperial stormtroopers' charging in and taking away our rights. This is more of a case of somebody finally enforcing the laws on the books: thumbs-up in my book.
Also, please spell it right, it's Pennsylvania. Penn's Woods. The Keystone State.
no offense, but i had to jab at this one: try not moving your lips while reading, unless, of course, you're reading the post to someone else, in which case, you should move your lips
Well, actually, the point is that the LEGAL subscribers were not getting their service. There's a slight difference there. I know that when i pay for something, i want it to work. I would hope the rest of the world feels the same.
i do like where you're going with this, but for my $.02 worth: windows/internet explorer 5.5 is actually OK. note, i did not say good, nor did i mean it, but it is SO integrated into the windows OS that it actually IS the fastest browser for Win2k...
of course, NT/2K is the ONLY windows OS in my book, since all the others are either cartoons or just glorified DOS
and since that other half of the world consists of 2 islands (ok, i know there are more than 2 islands, but my point is elsewhere), one of which doesn't know the meaning of the word dentist, then obviously, imperialism is not dead..... good, i can go about using inch, foot, gallon, pound, and ounce once more....
I don't even want to begin on this one, but i believe it's my duty to do so. Win2K is most possibly, the best M$ operating system ever. I can say this unabashedly, and with a straight face, because i truly believe it. It is truly compatible (it's even got support for AppleTalk) with other os's, (as long as you use Fat32, it can work with linux) but it's strong point is under NTFS. I have been a user of Win2K for a little over a year now (took me a while to give up dual booting 98SE and NT4) and i truly believe that it is quite a substantial OS. If your gripe about NT5 (Win2k) is the slow boot process, remember, you only need to boot once a day, as opposed to hourly with 9X. The time spent waiting for booting once is much less than booting 8-10 times.
it's all there, and if you don't know how to use it, i am sorry
yeah, i'm completely anti-m$.... sitting here at my Win2k machine, with my M$ intellimouse....
i'm definitely a clone of the evil robot, you should deride me, to protect me from the evil secret of space... robot
just because i don't like the way the M$ corporation practices business doesn't mean i'm going to shun it, but at the same time, i AM going to use the right tool for the job, which means using multiple os's, and more than one brand of software.
and being a government employee, i do have to work every day with M$ software exclusively... fun fun. when i get home, though, i have a *CHOICE* of which OS i want to use, and i exercise MY RIGHT TO CHOOSE wisely.

no, i think you have your priorities straight
'nuff said
hmm... sounds like a good h4x0r challenge to me. I'll take 100 of them, but they'll have to be 277 Volt AC (bet you've never seen that one before)
ok, i guess i'm probably the last to know, but Redhat 8.0 has firewire support? sweet! maybe i will have to get it

going offtopic for a moment:

yeah, but old slick willy gates has done his best to make them compatible with his MSN, not AOheLl

w00t!
tell me about it. it's just like a lullaby, especially when you're trying to get that C++ script to compile for tomorrow's exam.
I really shouldn't be the one to say that though, because i can't hear mine over the bubbling sounds of my aquarium.
good point
