i never run a P2P client any more, not for moral reasons though, but because i am on the shittest dial up connection imaginable. I am connected at 4,800 (yes, 4 thousand 8 hundred) bits per second. Do you know how shit that is?
yes, i am on a 56k modem, thank you BT.....

what i was taught is that the eggs are the boulder from the tomb, and that is why we roll the down the hills, because the boulder blocking the tomb rolled down the hill when jesus was resurrected. y'see? you know it makes sense
7. The wasted screen real-estate, combined with my no-broadband options and shitty phone lines, leave me with the opinion that something that downloads extra ads is broken. Would you want to download a bunch of extra crap on a 19.2k connection to the internet?
My stated preference would be a time-limited evaluation that doesn't include ads. I wanted to evaluate the new version of Opera. I didn't want ads. I have the choice of either un-breaking their broken, ad downloading software or downloading an illegal copy. I did both. I'm marginally less annoyed at the warez copy, but I still can't see why people think Opera is worth $30 when Mozilla does all the same stuff and more, and doesn't cost a dime.
Ahh, but if you download it you get a 30 day ad free trial....
and as this is BT Openworld we're talking about, i'd agree with you. On my supposed 56k dial up connection, i am surfing at the moment on 21600bps. My maximum i can get is 45333bps, but i only get that every few weeks, and some days i'm an on ultra shitty 4800bps. And i live across the road from the exchange.......
ahh, but fat is useful. Fat is our bodies way of storing energy, and when we don't eat enough, or we get really cold, our body will burn off some of the energy stored in the fat, and it'll keep us alive for just that little bit longer. Of course, too much fat is bad for us, as it'll clog up our arteries, and can cause coronary heart disease (heart attacks), so, well, a little fat is good, too much fat is bad....
oh yes, good old william mcgonagall, he's quite possibly the greatest poet ever, well, ok, that'sa teeny weeny lie. HE got a mention in the book "worst writers" or something, part of a series of books called the mind's eye or something. But seriously, he s really awful, hilariously awful
Emm, yeah, in the UK at least they had like 3 pages or so that loaded at random and i'm sure it was just you paid to be seen on those pages. I saw the same results time after time after time
well, i don't know about that. at our school we have two kids in electric wheelchairs, and they mow us down. they move very very fast, far too fast for the corridors, and they don't care about us normal walkers, or our ankles
sorry matey, but democracy that was around before the US is still around....like in iceland, which has the oldest democracy in europe, at 900 years old...
Yar, Iain M. Banks is good, but i find that his novels that aren't science fiction are better. The Wasp Factory is so dark, there are bits i found hilarious, especially that scene with the rabbits. I suppose what i find most interesting about his non sci-fi works are that they are set locally to me, in scotland, and i know all about the places he talks about, it's really good. Plus, he is full of great ideas, don't know if you can get his stuff over in the states, but if you can, do check it out, wonderful
http://www.stellaawards.com/ is a mailing list that sends out examples of TRUE silly cases of a truly mucked up court. or something, damn my crappy english
(if that holds in court, Microsoft could be suing the slashdot parent company on the basis that they're hosting anti-microsoft discussions by some users).
hey, stop giving microsoft their ideas, they have their own legal department for that.
no, he's a twat. say hello to slashdot's first palindromic troll.
