  1. Waiting for complete edition... on LoTR RoTK Extended Edition Specs Released · · Score: 1

I will be waiting for the "Full Trilogy Extended Ultra Edition" in a big treasure chest, and a Realdoll(TM) version of Galadriel

There will also be versions with Arwen, Eowyn, Legolas, Frodo and Gilmi to meet personal taste...

    um.. well...

It's been posted before, I'm sure... but...

Why not use a nice microcontroller which reads a standard chipcard ? It's much safer and waaay more l337 than this lame mechanical lock...

I built a chipcard reader which read german phonecards to open my door at the age of 14 using an commodore 64... that was kinda cool... now an Pic18F84 does the job... programmed in oure assembler :) ph33r !!

  11. SEMS Solar on What's the Oldest Hardware You are Still Using? · · Score: 1

We're still using an old SEMS Solar System, which was installed 1981, with 2MB of Ram ! It's running on ~8MHz (140ns) and is built completely out of TTL-logic components (the CPU consists out of 3 15"x15" circuit boards)

It's calculating a lot of process data and serves almost 50 ASCII Terminals and a whole lot of digital and analog signals

We threw out harddrives the size of a wasching machine (50MB) two years ago and replaced them with some emulation systems (from 1992 :) )

Well, it's still doing a fine Job at tremendous speed, programmed in Fortran or something called PL/16

Oh and btw... I am using IBM Model M Keyboards where I can (I had to fight for it several times at work, but it's worth it :))

  12. Re:Ico on GameSpy's 25 Most Underrated Games · · Score: 1

ICO was the most beautiful game I've ever played. I'm not really a big gamer, therefore I don't judge the game by it's technique. I judge it by the feeling it gives me. I simply was stunned by the visuals and sound. The way the game could convey the atmosphere of this worl was simply overwhelming... You can call me a pussy, but the ending left me sitting there, bawling my eyes out, and I was 28 when I played it :)

  15. Re:I doubt the key has changed on Xbox Security Keys Changed · · Score: 1

    um...

Don't they just bypass that security code check ?

(I don't think, that the FPGA mods insert opcodes, they rather do a 'Hardware JMP' to the 'good'-end of the checking routine ?!)
