But you don't know that he lied about this. It may have been the case that he, as he said, mentioned this to higher ups in one form or another on multiple occasions and was told to shut up. It's not as though the NSA documents every single CONVERSATION its employees have while working. Snowden was under no obligation to actually document when he had these conversations or what they consisted of.
But he is superior for being a people person. Loneliness has been shown to be unhealthy. Being around people is actually physically good for you, and choosing to live a healthy lifestyle does in fact make one superior to those who choose to live a lifestyle where they can die sooner.

He had a gun with him when he went to Maryland but not the permit? Well maybe he shouldn't have. Not all states are as batshit-crazy about allowing gun nuts to openly carry guns. You sure can't do that in my state either. That's a good thing. Less guns means less gun violence.
Except that some of us believe that holding dangerous terrorists against their will, many of whom are Islamic fundamentalists who have repeatedly expressed the desire to do harm to non-Muslims in General, Americans in particular, and their captors in even more particular, is actually a GOOD thing and not a bad thing. It is NOT the US's fault that Pakistan, Afghanistan and other countries don't want these guys back.
It's hilarious to see all the cop bashing posts here, and they all seem to ignore stories like yours. Stories like your are in an alternate universe for them, where all or most cops are bad, and even when they do help out its a fluke or you were hallucinating. I'm glad I don't live in their universe.
Right, and in fact this scenario happens all the time. There's a ton of people here bashing cops, but in the real world, iPhones do get returned if the cops are able to locate the perp. As far as statiistics go, we don't really know what percentages of iPhone thefts reports go unsolved, and it probably varies widely in certain areas.
On the other hand, part of the point of the justice system is to force a person to pay a penalty so that they will think twice about doing it again. By "stealing" from the other guy, it's quite possible that person may have had an epiphany, such that he might have been less likely to do it in the future. The high recidivism rates among perps who commit petty larceny means that the current system isn't working well.
She's gonna be president. Deal with it. She's going to slaughter any Democrat stupid enough to enter the primaries against her, and the teatard party is preparing to send out idiots like Rick "Hipster-Glasses" Perry and Rand Paul against her. Or maybe they might do something even sillier like have Jeb Bush run. That will be amusing.
No, our next president is almost certainly going to be Clinton.
No, it isn't speech. It's used to provide you with a podium, but a podium is not speech, and has never been seen as such since the beginning of the US.
It's amusing that the Supreme Court has said on numerous occasions that the government has the right to regulate the means, location or time of speech (see: Anti-abortion protest laws, regulating where a mob can protest a convention, or better yet, limiting where someone can protest a speech by PRESIDENT BUSH) and yet you teatards have an issue with the Supreme Court regulating the MONEY used to make the speech. It's stupid.
Anytime Congress passes serious reform, it gets struck down by a conservative Supreme Court that has no interest in reform and literally equates money with speech. The ONLY way to have serious reform that sticks is to...
1) Make sure Clinton gets into office in 2016, so she can appoint liberal judges once luddites and philistines like Scalia and Thomas are gone / die off.
2) Focus on an amendment to the Constitution that SPECIFICALLY says money is not speech for purposes of law.
That is it. Nothing else will do, because it will be OVERTURNED. Why is this so hard to understand, Lessig?
Which is exactly why I got a history MA rather than a computer sciences degree, even though I do IT for a loving. I believe I'm a much more rounded human being with the information I gained during that time, and my interest in the humanities has never waned.
Sadly, I was earning 35K a year fresh out of grad school doing basic IT work in San Francisco in an office with MBAs also fresh out of grad school, who were easily earning 150K or more a year, plus bonuses.
I always joked with them that the only difference between them and me was that they happened to find money interesting.

I believe it is an adjective describing how jelly or marmalade feels on bread?
"I accidentally misplaced my hand while making a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich and now it feels all smarmy."
But it is bad for you. Loneliness, especially in older adults, has been shown to have negative health impacts.
Me talk pretty one day
You are assuming applying the law in this way is evil. That is a huge assumption.

It may no longer be produced, but it's clearly still used, and in a major way.
Ducks! Where? I love ducks.
I hereby bestow upon you a Ph.D. in Pedantry.
I've been doing tech for 20 years in SF, and I live in the middle of the Richmond district. I guess I'm a tech codger?
Soooooo....are there any foods that have this protein?

Actually, I do; it's quite easy to target any browser on any platform. A nifty

Well if the magnets are doing that, they can't be doing science.

She is a Liberal Democrat, where Liberal = Anything to the left of the most liberal Republican in office today.
Probably, yes, because they will do intelligent things with it, like support health care, fund NASA, or provide food stamps.
I wouldn't mind the token republican or two, preferably from a NE state. Got any ideas?
