I agree, and it doesn't seem too many people here are realizing this.
It sounds like these lawyers, who sued Microsoft, are saying that since they beat
someone like Microsoft, then they're so great and they deserve this huge-ass fee!
If these lawyers had lost, would they have charged the state of California
the same amount? Do they charge thier other clients $3000/hr?
How much do Microsoft's lawyers get paid?
I believe there are rules about winning attornies charging losing defendents too much.
Also, it seems rather obvious that company would pass most of its costs down to the consumer.
Unless, of course, you're saving the life of an idiot moron (whose mother should have flushed the fetus down the toilet) who gets lost in the woods and *WE* have to foot the bill for a search-and-rescue...
When I signed up for COMCAST broadband I was told I could have up to 5 computers connected (using a server assigned DHCP address on each machine)
Well, last week I got a letter from COMCAST telling me that they have determined I have more than on machine connected to my cable modem and that if I don't respond by June-something they will terminate any other IP addresses beyond one.
Although, for and extra $9.99 a month, I can have up to 4 extra (5 total) IP address.
I think those sons-of-bitches are pulling a scam and have bait-and-switched me. I was very up-front with the rep when I signed up and told him I needed to have 5 computers connected and would that be a problem... "No, of course not," I was told, "You can connect up to 5 computers, we just don't support and LAN/ethernet-hub problems you might have."
FUCKING LIARS
Sarcasm aside, I find it really sad that people can't seem to appreciate the attempt of doing something creative (and massively challenging). Sure it wasn't that great, but can't we learn from it? Can't we look at something and say, "It's not that appealing, to me, but I'm so happy someone attempted this thing. Where would we be if no one tried to create thier vision?"
I'll get right on that...
Awwwww, now I feel bad...
I guess I'll have to go spend some of the gobs of money I'm making programming Flash to make myself feel better!
Shameless Plug

"The tie is one of the few personalized, professional pieces of formal attire a man is allowed. Embrace it!"
From now on, a tie will represent the puke running down the front of my shirt caused by your statement.
okum has one more less and can be typed with the left hand only.
...is like a computer without a keyboard, or some other dumb analogy.
See a picture of those t-shirts here.
Sucks to have your friends....
"... had any emotional connection to ... the show."
I just had to chuckle at this, seeing as most normal people save their emotional connections for things based in REALITY.
... but not to a bunch of scumbag lawyers.

an (original) iMac in a G5 (knock-off)
Image a computer virus that kills all other viruses on one's machine, then spreads itself to other machines, then deletes itself.
What the F are you talking about?
If you go to the emergency room to get treated you get a *BILL* for the services.
stupid.
We're not fat, we're drought and famine resistant.

The RIAA should have been putting their money where their mouth is, instead of their feet.
The *AUSTRIANS* did that!?
eom
Now what the fuck are they going to do with Arnold?
Then YOU do something better.
Because a bunch of nerds will just say they suck.

Thank You Andromeda.
Thank You Mutant X.
No, you are absolutely wrong. You don't get it at all.
It's a lot easier to get a majority out of nine votes than it is to get a majority of 280 million votes.
Yeah, just ask Bush!
