Please let my ineffective company leech off your genius or I'll be forced to become your ineffective competitor.
Hrm....I'm sure Mr Jobs got a great laugh out of this one.
Wow, now remind me, what country do I live in now? Afghanistan? no.....Iran? no. Oh wait that's right I live in the free society of America.....wow I almost forgot!
Cisco is bad because it doesn't sell open source solutions? Fuck you little twits. I bet half your jobs depend on cisco. Now they suddenly have a back door and all the "i told you so"s come out.
fuck you all.
There would be no DOS or OS/2. The precursor of DOS would still be some hobby toy in a guy's garage. We'd probably be booting our computers with some equivilent of a bernoulli disk (if even that).
oh I see, so rather than one organization have access to your info, you'd rather have a conglomeration of organizations filch through your info. Yeah, i can see how that would be a lot better.
game prices will go down?!?!??! yeah right.
pretty soon games will cost more than a pair of Nike's at the mall.

not even that, Microsoft would migrate it like they migrated the other disparate id systems on their own site. you would login under the current AIM or ICQ id, then you would assign it to a valid passport. The old account would go away and the new merged info would be in your passport. It has worked smoothly everytime I did it.
I think it would simply be cheaper for Microsoft to just say "fuck you EU" and refuse to to business in any EU countries. Then, go and give windows away real cheap to the few countries not yet EU members. Get them so hooked on it, that it prevents them from joining the EU for fear of losing their OS they are dependent on.
No its a great name dumbass. Think about it, if everyone wipes their ass with toilet paper, it would be in your best interest to name your product "Toilet Paper" so when Joe Bloe sends his kid to the store for toilet paper, he comes back with your product.
oh bullshit. Nothing beats Enterprise Manager for out of the box DBMS management. NOTHING. You may be able to put some sort of option source twiddlydink on MySQL to management, but it still can't beat Enterprise Manager.
The industry can't crash or die because it is diversified among many players now instead of Atari and a few 3rd party makers. If the industry consolidated into 3-4 companies again and those comapnies fell on hard times, then yes you could have a crash or death or whatever makes the news glamorous.
It was only a matter of time before Phantasy Star Online put them out of business :)

I've been saying this about OSS projects for a long time now as well.

...I think this might be the most useful and informative /. article of the year!
They are displaying just a small fraction of their power. Drop the fines or Microsoft will burn all you EU nation's technology to the ground!
Thanks Apple! You just ruined my idea for a hot beverage cup that wirelessly plays MP3s!
cause I never had enough legos to ever get "addicted" to them. I preferred cold war artifacts like GI Joe.

....should simply leave the EU marketplace. I think that would send a message to the EU that they can put up or fuck off.
No label could survive being shutout by Wal-Mart!
Sadly, the same thing can be said about free speech and Wal-mart.
there are LOTS of sites that use it. Starbucks, eBay, Citicards.com....

So is there any way I can erase and use that 200Mb BIOS that it's going to take to cram in Outlook?

are you japanese? are any of your family? If so then there is nothing to worry about.

Not a flame, but the motherfucking truth.
......you have 10 seconds to comply!
yes, but big fat americans can crap out bigger turds faster, so 1 american is equal to about 4 chinese.

of course, the business model of shoot first, ask questions later while pissing on your environment always wins there.
