I prefer the Gibson aproach. It shows cool little green/blue translucent cubes that turn red when something odd happens to them. You then have a whack-a-mole kind of interface to kill those bad processes.
As most of the money is virtual (stored bits) these days, having at least one Linux storing money, could make them share the code of their "money server" so you can run a copy of it, storing your own money in your house in an OpenID-like way.
Why would you store your money on somebody else's computer when you can do a better job protecting it in your own system?;)
Let's say you have a genetic "bug". Wouldn't it be better for human race if you share your code with everybody so anyone can peek at it, detect and correct genetic bugs?... Of course anyone can fork your "code"
and create a new distribution of "you" but if you are smart and with an above-the-average IQ, wouldn't it benefit the human race also? Or do you prefer for these scientists to debug and make copies of dumber people that volunteered to it leaving you as "closed source" in the human market?
Democracy for people that are not used to thinking for themselves is hard.
That's why you got Bush...twice.

Yes, I don't think any state or country would dare to issue a car license plate for that thing. People should name a vehicle a "car" only after it a car license plate has been issued for it....But on the other side, racing cars from whatever category do not have license plates so where's the limit?
Some time ago I've stopped buying anything with the Sony brand on it because their lack of standards support and bully behaivor. Now I guess I'll have to add Samsung to that list too...
Why care about terrorists when a company or bank CEO can do much more damage to much more people? Are those beign blacklisted too? Just because they don't grow a beard doesn't mean they aren't dangerous...
Thinking a bit more about it, I have realized that it's multitouch, so you should have the option of holding them clicked with the thumb and drag them with your index just as you would using a trackpad with buttons.
WTF. This is the silent rise ot the machines in their war against humans! I say let natural selection and lawsuits regulate it. If not, what will come next? Your TV will work for just 2 hours a day cause your eyes might strain? And then you won't be allowed to go out of your car if it's hailing because you might get hurt?
I'm cool with the no mouse buttons -Well, they really made a big button with a trackpad on top of it- but drag and droppers will suffer this. Dragging and dropping using just the trackpad is a mayor pain.
Intelligence reports that Osama Bin Laden just opened a new terrorist training camp there. They also cook WMDs, a sun spots you see are really failed tests. The bush administration is planning on sending some or our finest minorities young men there to kick some ass and deliver universal justice for once and for all. There you have.
They just asked 40 people. I think it depeneds on the target market, it seems obvious that if they are between 20-30 years old and they are american, they'll prefer the meaner one. Nobody respects a happy Panda in the road so nobody would want one. The result would be different if you asked 40 teenage manga-loving japanese girls.
OMFG!! Did...Did you see THAT!?? I can't believe it! Ohh noooo! He couldn't! Damn, Steve nailed it again! Ohh nooo, it is..it is sooo G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S! The first *aluminium* MacBook...Brilliant! And did you see the keyholes?? OMG it has soooomany! Damn I want one! And the bigger trackpad?...Astonishing! I better ran off to camp in the waiting line and keep posting from there...

Yes, but does he run Linux?
Hating them won't solve anything. There are other options.

And the final dilema...Should we clone Elvis?
Also, if this were 1984 I'd be waiting for "Back to the Future" to hit the theaters near soon.

Have you ever seen Ghost in the Shell? I think it's time to make tinfoil hats mandatory.

Beta, Windows only, and no Adblock... What did you expect?!? Massive adoption? In related news, concept car goes slow on sells.
