In addition to the freaking picture of MS founder(s) laying on the table next to amiga now I have the freaking picture of not well-aged father of the MS founder and the other MS founder.. now what? is this news for nerds site? sorry, no
Really people, don't you see what's happening here? Ideal sandbox would be just another os running in the vm. Not sure MS will get this right, but if they did, this will turn into quite great security initiative.
The same load of bull as the post you're replying to. The truth is that there are NO RULES in relationships. And human beings are different. And NO, you don't have to be the same person you want to meet. All you can do - is understand what you want, set your standards and go searching the person you will feel satisfied with and who will accept you the same way. Everything else just doesn't work.
No idea what f3 uses as a drm, but I started to get bluescreens after installing Gothic 3. After some googling and stuff I tried to disable starforce drivers from the system. And wonder what, system started to run faster and no bluescreens. This is just ridiculous to pay for game and have bluescreens from the drm the game includes. Try to enable hidden devices in xp device manager and set starforce or whatever drm they use drivers status to Disabled. Then download no-cd and voila. I could as well just download the game from torrent.
1. Moldova isn't communist, it's parliament republic and has elected president 2. Oragnizing a mob against current (and new) elected president will quickly land you in jail in most western democracies and rightfully so 3. US of A isn't a democracy for a while, all it spreads around the world now is a greed for oil and messing with other countries 4. Concerning Iran, Russia, China: if someone doesn't leak USA ass doesn't mean you have to go and "liberate" them. It's another country - leave them the fuck alone already. Don't want to have relations with them? Fine. Don't.
of course this is wrong, because before any compact framework downloaded I was able to make.net app which ran on my mpx200.. some functionality is not available of course, but.net apps just work on desktop and mobile, you have to use few gimmicks to display menus right, that's all
You can run.net apps on phones and PDAs. And any express edition will make you.net app. Windows Mobile is very open platform and easy to develop for. Marketing, usability departments for it etc seems to be run by idiots though.
This game isn't for "looks". What I learned from RTFA so far that his game has good RPG/quest/weapon system, which is faaar more important for these types of games. Geez, I still know guys who play text-only MUD. And no, Oblivion is not a good RPG game. NWN is OK, but nothing special really, although YMMV.
I understand your sarcasm but I'm not making you to use 2nd monitor, I'm just sharing my experience. For me my 2nd monitor is essentially free, because it's about 5 years old and costs almost nothing now.
As a russian I can say that guy was just bragging:) Of course we don't drink on the streets in the winter normally, this is just stupid. And yes, -6C or 20F is a joke for any russian living on east side of urals. All that said I'm proud to admit that I drank vodka near to the christmas tree at the new year on the street with friends and there were a lot of ppl around having fun at the "ice town" built for entertainment at the new year. And the outside temperature was -42C which is -43F. Oh great old university times.
Ushanka must be weared by russian hackers in the service for government;) it's grey, you know.. And used by russian cosmonauts of course, comes with a wrench..
Because in vmware you usually have minimal version of windows xp - most likely fresh installed with minumum com components, shell extensions, services, drivers etc etc, don't forget residental antivirus and other software which install disk filter drivers, drm etc, like starforce and friends. Usually the older is windows, the slower it runs. Also running xp as a guest in vmware on linux host is proven faster every time I tried it than running the same vm on windows host. This can be just limitation of vmware though. Too many factors.
Actually jokes aside Ubuntu has now "run in windows" mode IIRC (I guess runs in VM, never tried it). Run Word+Excel or whatever you need and Ubuntu inside to get all other apps you want. No license violation and you got cheap laptop with the cheap OS.
ugh, my information is outdated too.. quick search in wiki reveals that RU in fact signed Berne Convention in 1995-03-13, so perhaps it's enforceable from other contries too.. before that copyright violation were prosecuted as I described - only local company offices in RU can enforce laws didn't check a while because in about 3-4 years our company started to use legal only because there were a lot of lawsuits
bullshit, it's illegal to copy any copyrighted software in russia.. the only question is will you get punished for doing this or not. this happens because copyright law can be enforced only by owner of such software registered within RU itself. so if say, adobe, has no representation in russian federation, then this just cannot be prosecuted by russian law (no intl treaties, correct, but this can and will change), because law clearly states that only copyright holder can protect their property. IANAL, but this is how this works in RU.
are you kidding, right? first of all, WWII: you're talking about the country who destroyed the nazis and who had the full right to do anything with acquired land by the all international laws for that time. second: it's funny to hear about stealing and invading from the us citizen, which invaded several sovereign nations in 20th century.
TDP is not how much heat chip generates, it's how much chip package is designed to handle. Most recent E8XXX Intel processor have 65W TDP, but it's nowhere near how much they really use, mine E8500 uses 21W under full load IIRC. Check it yourself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermal_Design_Power
Guys totally ran out of ideas and made boring games.. Open-sourcing this MMORPG won't do a thing because without resourceful company any decently sized MMORPG is doomed to fail - there's to much to consider and develop.
I agree, but calling her "First human to use graphical representation of data" (Pioneer) is completely bullshit. The same bullshit as calling Ada Lovelace (Byron) to be the first programmer. I'm just sick of feminists claiming positions they do not deserve. Just use your brains to get the titles you need. No corner-cutting, no vagina using, no feminist propaganda, no tricks, just raw thinking power.

You should get a life, really

... if you can drive 100s T-72s over the border and kill them all? This is ridiculous. Can't compare the damage.

You haven't seen some of the production perl code one of our dev produces. It's entirely $d=`ls -l` stuff, seriously.
Code reusing my ass.
I advise you to see certified psychiatrist, seriously. Paranoia is not a joke. This disease can and will make your life miserable.

Usually I have all my chat windows etc open on second monitor where I can see them. Second old 17" LCD does the trick.
