There's not really much listed on there right now. If there were more people using it, I think it would be a good site to use. I signed up anyways, just to see how it works.
Yeah, I've had a cheap $10 PS/2 mouse that's had two scroll wheels for a few years two. I don't use the horizonatal mouse button much, but it is handy, especially working in photoshop.
Outpost is definitely the game you're thinking of. I couldn't get the damn game to work for crap and then when they finally patched it, it turned out that the gameplay blew horribly as well. Outpost 2 actually wasn't that bad, however, so I think that goes to show that Sierra learned a little bit from the crappiness of the first one.
I'm pretty sure the only way that you can actually enjoy this film is to be so hopped up on mind-altering drugs that when you see your dog you think it's the second coming of Jesus. Honestly, I don't know how anyone who is close to sane can enjoy this movie. I got a mild kick out of it, but that's because I'm mildly insane......
What I really would like to see is the ability to play DIVX files burned onto cdrs on my Xbox. Now that would be wonderful. I have so many random Divx files of random junk off of the internet that I'd love to show people on my TV and not drag them to my computer. Let me know when I can play DIVX files as I'll buy games no matter what they use as a medium for their cutscenes.
.....is why they just don't do a direct port of the game and change the dialogue/speech from japanese to english? What the hell is the point of taking things out?? If anything leave whatever is in, translate it, and add more stuff if so inclined. I just don't understand axing stuff from already well-made games, but then again, that's probably why I'm not running a video game production company right now...
...every time I see something about Tron anywhere, I always get the urge to build myself a homemade glowing suit, put it on, construct a glowing frisbee, and go disc golfing while riding my shiny blue bike from hole to hole. Wouldn't disc golfing with Tron gear be frickin' sweet? I can only imagine all of the odd looks I'd get.
For clarification's sake, I did choose the CSI major because I enjoy computer science, however, I am not a code monkey like most people in this major and I enjoy my philosophy studies just as much as my computer science work. A philosophy degree, I have found, in conjunction will help someone like myself, who does not want to be a code monkey their entire life, get out of that lifestyle while still staying within the computer science realm. For example: last year I was interning at a software development firm and all I did was code and test because I was simply another computer science intern. This year I am interning at the same company but because I now have a declared philosophy major, they have moved me out of coding and instead I am writing documentation while doing some testing. Just because I don't spend 18 hours a day in front of a computer screen doesn't mean that I don't have talent, it just means that I have a life and enjoy other things--one of them being writing.
I am also going to be graduating with a computer science degree. When I started four years ago this was the degree to have if you wanted to be guaranteed a job. Now it seems run-of-the-mill and it does not set you apart from the masses whatsoever. In job hunting, I have found that if you only have a computer science degree you are not going to easily find a job. Everyone wants experience or special abilities. For this sole reason I am staying on in college another semester to get my philosophy degree to set myself apart from all the other generic computer science grads. No longer will a cpu sci degree be enough. It's sad how things have changed so badly in the last four years......
I think I must be the only Xbox fan on this site. I've owned one for a while now and I love it. The main reason I like it is that I can get quality titles for like $10 - $15 off of half.com. Sure, some of the titles suck, but for the most part they're all pretty good. I might get a PS2 because there's some games on that platform I'd like to play, but a Cube is definitely out of the question. There really aren't many good, quality games on the system to even justify the $100 price tag.
Rottentomatoes.com, the absolute best source for movie information and reviews is also getting a gaming meta-site going too. I'd like to see it take off as much as the actual rottentomatoes.com site, but it is still lacking a lot of information. I'll be rooting for them to pick it up.
My friends have told me I look like a bunch of video game characters so instead of posting on/. the rest of the day, I am off to start filing some class-action law suits, mainly against Nintendo because I am a plumber and Luigi's moustache is the same type as mine. They didn't ask me before they designed him. What were they thinking? They should send out a mass email to the world before designing characters so that they might not look like anyone. Well, wish me luck. I'm off to get lots of money for free!!!
It might just be me, but I'm completely satisfied with my XBox and PS2. Hell, I still love the Dreamcast. You know why? The games are good and fun. Is releasing a new console going to make the games better? I really can't see the correlation between having a new console out and having better games (except that a new system usually launches with a couple A+ games). I'd be more interested in MS and Sony throwing more money into quality game development instead of working on making a new console that will make the already-pretty-enough graphics a little bit prettier. Graphics and processing power do not make games--innovation does.
With all of these countermeasures against copying and piracy put on all digital media, people are eventually just going to quit buying music and stick to listening to what they already own. I have already started to do this and have really uncovered some gems in my cd collection and of some mp3's that I've just had stored in the back of my HD. Rediscover your old favorites and let all of this crap blow over. Besides, most of today's music is manufactured crap anyhow.
Try out Barterbee.com I trade computer games on there all the time.

Dude, know your comics. It's not dreamworks (which is a movie making company), it's dreamwave. Just a heads up.

Wait.......since when did Microsoft become the ANTI-terrorists?
I'm glad to see that China didn't completely whack the google.

The almight 404 has backed down in light of the forthcoming /. effect. Stay in your homes and assume the fetal position underneath an open doorway.
What is the sound of one hand typing?
Now I just need two mice for my feet and I can deathmatch myself.
And I suppose Trident will be the ones to lead the charge with their recent resurgence into the graphics card making arena.
