Maybe some hope for you, from TFA: Jonathan Adelstein, a Democratic member of the Federal Communications Commission, said Spitzer "appears to have found a whole arsenal of smoking guns."
"We need to investigate each particular instance that Spitzer has uncovered to see if it is a violation of federal law. This is a potentially massive scandal," he said.
The FCC has power over the nation's radio stations, which are licensed to use public airwaves.

Maybe if the FCC starts hurting the radios some of them will be less inticed to the practice? Maybe not, becasue look what being a DJ offers:
In one case, an employee of Sony BMG's Epic label was trying to promote the group Audioslave to a station and asked: "WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET AUDIOSLAVE ON WKSS THIS WEEK?!!? Whatever you can dream up, I can make it happen." In another case in 2004, the promotion department of Sony BMG label Epic Records paid for an extravagant trip to Miami for a Buffalo DJ and three friends in exchange for adding the Franz Ferdinand song "Take Me Out" to the DJ's station's playlist.

When support is called they claim not to be blocking access. Television station BCTV Global did a story on the 6:00 o'clock news on this issue. Radio station CKNW also had as story on censoring TELUS customers, after receiving calls from numerous TWU members. Both media outlets are in British Columbia. In both cases, the company admitted to censoring TWU members and their customers." emphasis mine
From the site of telus: "Throughout this time, we will work hard to minimize the service impacts of the TWU's activities. We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience and thank you for your patience." emphasis mine

For years I lived right across from their building in Bruges, Belgium.
It amazes me because when I told tourists (foreign and domestic) about them nobody had ever heard of them, while they have giving their name to the stock exchange.
Beurs is the Dutch name for stock exchange, but also for fair,... It's the same in French and German. It all originates in the fortheenth century when Bruges was a major European trade hub.
The Italians (from Venice and Genua), Basks, English, ... all had houses (like an embassy/hotel) in the city centre.
The van der Beurses had two inns where traders used to gather to hear the latest and do business, change their currency or buy merchandise and/or businesses
(legal and commercial advise were on hand at the inn).

Very true, your debt is already close to the $7.4 Trillion limit. The war in Iraq, Afganistan,... is far from over. Maybe Bush would like to expand the taxcuts. 4 more years of the same and the USA is bankrupt and Own3D by foreigners.

I'm thinking this focused maily on the ministers of the member states, last meeting they had this was past silently, but lateron the Dutch minister got some noise from the Dutch parliament.
