    hmm, I'm trying...
    I'd like to use a lite-eye HMD (800X600) res display with a pocketpc, but the devices that drive 800X600 res on a pocketpc with SVGA output don't support terminal services- only things like powerpoint slides....

    Consider, in a pocketpc you have SVGA or better output, on a monocular HMD you can have better than 640X480 resolution- using terminal services and wifi you could pull up your desktop from home- anywhere in the world- and run YOUR computer well... in a package that actuall would fit in your front pants pocket...

    (and look geeky as hell, I admit)

    I'm finally come to the conclusion that the only method for me is a NEC mobilepro 800/880 + wifi..

    but- that's something you agreed to under the 4.0 license?

    did that license say anything about using it under a different 'chine? no- it licensed for one machine-- not one at a time, but ONE..
    and that's what you have...

    when you buy a 'lifetime' tivo subscription, it's for the lifetime of that machine....
    if the hard drive dies the next day, unless the machine is under warranty- you have no recourse.

    when you licensed 4.0- your license was for that machine-- if it fails, you have a valid license, for a broken machine.. fix the 'chine- or relicense under whatever terms are offered and acceptable to you...

    no, if you don't like the new license, you decline to continue using the service.

    do you HAVE TO go to 4.7 to use the music you already have? nope....

    keep 4.0, and don't get any more music- or start an entirely NEW account, and get a new ipod-- there is nothing MANDATING your agreement to the new terms but your desire for more product.

    next you, you want more widgets, I say they are now $4.50 and no widgets in your posession may be exported out of the US due to licensing&distribution agreements

    you can keep your original 50, and do whatever the hell you feel like, but if you want more- yer gonna hafta agree to the terms offered.

    if you are buying a hard drive, do you accept that at some date in the future your hard drive will no longer be playable because some company went out of business or no longer supports your OS? think, hollerith card readers- or, PDP hard drives?

    get a smartpanel... like a viewsonic v150

    5-11 hr batterylife- runs YOUR desktop over wifi
    the aforementioned airpanel ONLY runs remotedesktop (without hacks) but ce devices run other apps when not connected as well..

    add a HMD with it's own powersupply, and have 10-20 hrs battery life..

    how long do you think it would take? I'm guessing less than a decade before the planet would be unliveable.

    it would gain mass at a ?cubed? rate of growth- each doubling in mass would take 1/9th? as long as the previous time-- and that time rapidly approaches infinite, and there isn't that much mass here to consume...

    there is a sci-fi book on this,
    sorry, can't recall the title,
    one of the 3.99 wally world specials..

    talks a lot about waldo type robots-- they realize what's going on, (it keeps punching holes thru the planet as it rotates) and stop it by moving an asteroid to precisely pull the black hole thru the top of an arc into the asteroid..

    one element you may not have considered-that was in the story- the oscillations taper down and soon it's just sitting in the core- dead gravitic center, sucking everything in, and growing exponentially.
