If you were in pain why would you want some worthless expensive drug that only works for a couple things. One that's been proven to cause health problems!!! Just get vicodin it's like $10 a bottle with a prescription and the only thing bad for you in it is tylenol, hydrocodone is non-toxic.. so just don't drink.
psyconauts... these people aren't the psyconauts... these people are the ones who want an easy way out, a way to make themselves smarter with no effort, a way to make all the mindless jobs bearable. (can't really blame them for the latter)
A psyconaut is one who explores their own mind, with meditation or psychedelic drugs like mushrooms, seeking greater understand about how their brain functions. Sort of like taking the case off your computer and looking at the parts:) Not overclocking it to get free performance;p
I think noatun is kinda dead for audio stuff right??? The new one is amaroK which is THE BEST MP3 PLAYER I'VE EVER USED... Someone needs to port that sucker to windows, i'd never touch winamp or quint. player again!
In the beginning and "A call to arms" were both great... The rest of the movies, less so, but still good compared to most trek movies (especially considering they were made for tv movies and only cost like a million each or something lol)...
I hope he can pull off making this movie as badass as some of the best episodes in the series (severed dreams, into the fire, endgame, etc etc!!!)
I would love love love it if Alaska, BC, and the Yukon all became one country...Might as well throw the penninsula area near alaska that's currently part of russia, as well...I somehow doubt the people living their would mind. WE'D FINALLY HAVE LEGAL WEED, TOO!!!
Well there's solar sails but that isn't fast enough... Real mass-less (which would still use mass btw heh) would involve gravity control and right now te uber smart ppl just beginning to understand how gravity really works. So probably 200 years away on that heh...
However, we have plenty of tech to do everything we need to do some badass manned exploration of our solar system... The problem is it would cost a shitload:) But it should be done.
First thing we need to do is build a LARGE (few hundred meters+ I'd say) space ship in earth's orbit. This thing wouldn't be designed to land anywhere, that's not its purpose. Instead, picture something like the omega class destroyer from the show babylon 5. Have a large rotating section to provide gravity for the crew. Power it with a couple fission reactors. For propulsion you'd use an Ion drive, which is much much more efficient than a tradional chemical rocket.
Also it would seem like a couple fission reactors would provide plenty of power to produce a strong magnetic field around the ship when needed. This could act as shielding to solar wind or something, I could imagine. Something akin to earth's magnetic field... Just something to aid the hull if needed.
The crew could live in relative comfort, go to mars or whatever, take a smaller lander down to the surface and check out the planet. A big enough ship should have plenty of room for fuel to go around the solar system for a while. Then go back to earth to refuel. (Or ideally, the moon, cuz it'd be easy to get fuel off of their...could send a few small automated solar powered mining devices well in advance and have them start producing some of the fuel that the ion drive would need..)
Now, on the way back, someone scientific tell me if this is possible, but here's what I'm picturing... A small stop at the asteriod belt...Match speed with a fairly small sized asteriod (but one big enough to mine), and tether to it. If the asteroid you wanted was rotating, I would imagine you could bleed off it's rotation slowly but surely using the same magnetic field that could be turned on to shield the ship...Tow it home to earth orbit. Mine the crap out of it, would save you from sending new raw materials up into space...Once done getting raw materials out of it, it could become part of a counter-weight for a space elevator!)...
how the hell can a company prohibit some reviewer from publishing benchmars?? THERES NO WAY THAT'D STAND UP IN COURT.. that's like a car manufacturer prohibiting a reviewer from revealing the cars braking performance or something...
I know a couple "casual users" of cocaine. As in once a month or once a week. I don't know any coke-heads. Heh. (and no, I myself would never touch the stuff, but I'm all for legalization and regulation.)
Gotta give it to them for the inside humor on their web site though... best i've seen...Look at the product page for their boom tube ex portable speakers...
I never read that article (will go read it now) but he seems a little jealous of google news..... I rather LIKE having stuff just picked by a computer.. Eliminates bias AS LONG AS the news sites dont start learning how to make sure they are the ones that google news posts.
There are TONS of cases of patent abuse.. this is not one of them.. as has been said a few times already...
Honeywell USES this patent it isn't a submarine patent either as it's been licensed. The legal process in this country takes forever, as well, so they have probably been negotiating with these companies for a long time, and then weren't getting anywhere and realized that if their R'nD wasn't going to be wasted, they had to sue..
Honeywell is in the right here, the patent is clear, they use their own patent, it's for a tangible process and device...
For some reason I'm thinking this thread has it all wrong. I bet this has nothing to do with making a bunch of anti-matter and storing it, putting it in a bomb and delivering it to a target...
Now, I know next to nothing about physics and any of this stuff but here's what I bet they are trying to figure out.
It's my understanding that anti-matter is currently made and studied today by using partical accelerators like CERN. So I'M BETTING that the military is looking at ways to perhaps fire beams of particles at targets. Or perhaps several beams that creatie the right effect when they converge with each other at the target. When they hit, or converge, perhaps they would create some (wouldn't hafta be much) anti matter, which would destroy the target matter. The scale would not HAFTA BE BIG AT ALL...
I'm thinking small here, something like a cutting laser!!! Sort of a slicing type of beam that could slice through anything as easily as scissors cutting through paper. I can't imagine our military wanting to utterly destroy destroy the opponents tank for example, if they could slice the gun and the tracks off cleanly, leaving the raw materials for us, and leaving the people alive to keep information.
yeah.. except the game was quite balanced to begin with:0 you are completely proving my point.
you over-balanced cards like stasis-missles, but left wayyyy more overpowered cards like carrier and infinity drive alone??? But wait, you can buy more cards and get more abilities now!!! And the Zhik race *NEVER* ruled the roost.. from the beginning almost no one played it..
But it had some neat advantages (i played it cuz frankly, I like lizards)... but then you ruined the race and made them so that no one in their right mind would play them!!! Your idea of balance is a lot like sony's idea of balance in eq lol... it's just not there!
But keep pumping out the expansions so people hafta keep paying and paying to compete (which is what you said you wouldn't do, when I first started playing!)
But yeah, you made an innovative game, I'll give ya that.. keep up the good work
until they nerfed stuff because of what the "uber players" wanted (for example, zhik were a cool race at first, and the card stasis missles was my ace in the hole...)
But they changed stasis missles to make it worthless, changed zhik to make them worthless, and left the *REALLY* powerful cards like infinity drive untouched!! they are fucking retards...
... last time i played it it wasn't the same game it was when my friend and i started.. its a waste of cash now...play something else

$3 is way to high when for $1 I can get a dvd of a tv show series that has 4 episodes on it... lol.. $3 a season i'd buy....~
hmm, i guess i should download it and watch it again... (i have not seen the legend of the rangers, so i cant say if i liked htat or not)
(not karma whoring, my karma is maxed heh)

mod parent up lol thats really funny
i wont lynch ya, but look at it this way
"surely running water isn't necessary to live, it should be a private company's job to provide it!"
"electricity should definately not be the government's job, it competes with private industry, gas companies, generator companies, etc!"
"vodka being touted as one of the basic food groups"
It's not?
You've got to be shitting me...you're full of it.

This doesn't matter, the telcos never told anyone any worthwhile info about anything anyway.
customer who's phone is down: *picks up cell phone, calls phone company*
phone company: "hi, what can we do for you"
customer: "hi, I was wondering when my landline phone service would be up again, can you give me an estimate?"
phone company: "sir, it appears your phone line is down"

anyone remember back when the original athlon came out?
the amd reference chipset that was on the first boards may not have been extremely feature-packed, but it was rock solid.. i wish they'd make more!
Hehehe screw that, I want to cast command of druzzin on this chick in my calculus class~ If it resists I'll gate.
