    OTOH if you put on 240/80R12 instead of the 185/60R14 stock size, then you can expect the dealer to scoff at you... perhaps audibly, perhaps under his breath.

    XP is a step backwards, 2k like NT4 was stable like a rock when properly configured. I had 2k RC1 running from the time I installed it till I installed the release version.

    Oddly enough, you could run windows 95 to look like 3.1, and you can run XP to look like 2k.

    Excel. I know we all hate microsoft, but the Web API is fairly trivial... OF course you need write permissions so you will need a good host.

    In all seriousness sometimes I do that. I don't ascribe it to energy healing, but sometimes I've "laid hands" on a computer and its started working..

    I ascribe it to the differences in personal electrical field, but who knows... I've worked with people who could touch a working system and break it...

    silently count. you count aloud the customer will figure out what you're doing...I tell them that cursing made the computer angry and I'll have to calm it down.

    Odd, my dealer doesn't charge for diagnostics.

    Of course I'm under warranty so if he does find something wrong that isn't normal wear and tear he gets to fix it free ANYWAY.

    One I like to use is to ask if they have yelled shouted or cursed.

    Then I speak gently to the computer turn it off and count 15.

    Turn it back on and the problem typically vanishes.

    I like to give credit to my charisma.

    Well how about the fact that he goes to great lengths to point out that he thinks that the kernal design of linux is screwed up(IHNSHO) as the primary evidence that while it is similar to minix it certainly isn't stolen.

    Free speech means you cannot be prohibited from speaking, not that you cannot be charged(monetarily or criminally) for your speech.

    Actually his is correct, some things aren't made correct by popular use and mixing singular and plural use is one of them. His is the correct(neuter) usage when writing or speaking about a person of unknown gender.
