Well, what's the business model of you spending all your time on say, Breath of the Wild : you're most probably not spending more money than the game, and maybe a few DLC. And if you put 200h or more on one game, you're not playing other games... I understand captive games like mobile (though I really don't see why people pay there... Seriously, who pays to play candy crush ?) But also, the gameplay changed. Before you could say : one more level then I stop. In more continuous games, like the afore mentionned BotW, you don't have any real milestones, and I find myself playing way more than I should...

It is not to help viewers, it is to help theaters. In their mind, if the movie is available to quickly after theater release, people will just wait for the digital release, and not pay an overpriced cinema ticket (easily 15€ per person when 3D) They had the sale rules with VHS/DVD,etc albeit much shorter (I think 6 months, reduced now to 3, not sure) The French love stupid rules like that... In the same way, you cannot broadcast movies on tv channels on friday and saturday nights, so that people would go out instead.

And since no one else is actually competing on that market of non disposable phones, or almost no one (you have things like the fairphone, but the firepower behind is not strong enough to provide on both sides of repairable and actually up to date to begin with) Why would you want people to replace battery for 60$ when you can instead sell them a new phone for at least 500 ?

  24. you're a lucky one. Last summer i was working on a large word file (I think from word 2013, can't remember) inside libreoffice 5.whateverwasthelastversionatthetime and it was a real pain in the a** -opening the document and closing it directly prompted for saving and corrupted the file. - after some times it finally crashed and could not open the last saves (after a few crashs with lost work, i took an habit of regularly saving to other files, even though the document was all messed up, at least edits and comments where still there) A real struggle. But to be fair, working with word was also a pain in general. In my last job it was decided we were to collectively edit a multi-file report ... massive fartjob ! And I'm not even talking about the final editing into one doc where everthing was messed up, references, citations, etc...
