Does anyone know how many people are involved in coding opera?

  2. The FCC on New Lighting Technology To Wipe Out Wi-Fi Access? · · Score: 1, Troll

I hope problems like this, prompt the public to pressure the FCC. Between them and the Patent office, we should be screaming to our politicians that lack of forsight in these departments is going to slow progress. The government needs to hire some intelligent people for these departments, and stuff like this won't happen quite so frequently.

  4. Why bother? on I STILL Want My HDTV · · Score: 2

I just helped my folk find a new TV. They have digital cable, and a DVD player, and they wanted something around 32-36 inches that looked good. I hooked my dad up with a Sony Wega, WITHOUT HDTV. It was $1500 less, and he still have a HUGE improvement in picture quality over his old TV. I don't think most families will justify spending over $2k for an HDTV. Wait until the majority of channels are broadcasting for a year or two, and the prices will be far more reasonable.

    There my 2 cents...

  5. How big is this? on Red Flag Linux: Real, and Reviewed · · Score: 1

Are they really going to jump all over this? China is one of largest offenders of piracy. Why would they care whether an OS is "free"? I can't see the whole nation switching to this, even though I love linux...

What OS would this run on? I hope NOT anything M$. I can already see it on the news. "Giant laser from the moon zapps 1,100 people. Could it happen in the Bay State, tonight at 11".

  12. What would be done. on Talk to the Man Who Wants to Oversee Microsoft · · Score: 2, Interesting

How would attempt to keep Microsoft from continuing it's monpolistic practices? The company has a long history of unethical business practices. What do you think you could do to change this? How long do you think it will take to change an untamed beast into a useful competetive company? What makes you believe that this is a possible task?
