    You're missing the point. Maxis is releasing SimEarth soon, which will model weather systems tracking each individual water molecule; geological processes and modeling of the seismic activity including the role every soil particle assumes; the wind velocities inside a tornado; real-time fluid dynamics; life; accurate supernova recreations/simulations; and a whole lot more.

    This seems funny right now, but who knows. The pace at which technology is progressing, I will not be surprised if these things actually get incorporated into a game.

    for example, a bunch of people in China decide to submit english language files with the best of intentions, but the data is heavily accented (Or to be fair, if a bunch of native English speakers submitted a bunch of heavily accented recordings of Mandarin speech)?
    What I feel is that for English speech, this is exactly what they should do. The language is so common across the globe, that all the accented variants should be included in the speech database. I remember using a voice recognition software long time back, and it did not support my accented English properly. I wished it did.

    Any time civilians are purposefully targeted with the use of violence for political effect it is terrorism. The identity of the doer does not decide whether it is terrorism or not.

    For example, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

    If proprietary source (effectively secret) can leak into Open source, then it is certain that Open Source has leaked into proprietary codebases.

    I am with Mozilla developers on this decision. In my opinion, this is just an eye candy. But when it comes to usability, it is a real irritating stuff.

    Have you been through the frustrating experience of scrolling in IE with this smooth scrolling on?

    Well, regarding the smooth scrolling stuff, I have always hated that feature in IE. When I just want to scroll by a line or two, it will scroll away 5-6 lines. And I'll tell you, it is really irritating.

    I hope that in Mozilla, it is not on by default.

    Right now I am learning Japanese language (8 hrs a day!) for last 4 months, so I think I have a fair knowledge about this language.

    First, 20k words means 20k words - Kanji is just script, and it has no relation whatsoever with number of words.

    Secondly, Japanese grammar is far easier than English. There's no plural, gender, word order is not that important, and there are lot's of other points.

    Just my approx. 2 Yens.

    In Mozilla, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Software Installtion. Check the box for checking updates. That's it. It will check for latest version of moz, and you don't need to browse their site to check for updates.
