    yeah, everything but vmware is hard to set up, if you're going to sell VMs getting xen running is probably worthwhile tho. good news is vmware has an open source offering you can install straight out of your package manager (probably). i've actually spent a couple of weekends messing with virtualisation, that last post was me just being sarcastic at the troll.

    virtualisation is complicated, maybe the article should have just said "Linux now has built in stuff to make it so you can run more than OS!", actually that's probably too complicated for most, how about "Another type of computer you don't use has built in support for running more computers inside it! it's like OSX and windows only it's another one!".

    sure, if we had burgers where we get kings or kings where we get burgers, your argument is just dumb. maybe you see a lot of bells constructed from tacos where you live? the name they have chosen is a generic term describing a function and tried to trademark it. They don't even have the trademark yet and may never get it.

    yeah, but we've called applications apps for 20+ years and stores stores for a lot longer, so once again, blame apple for generic naming. they even had a strong brand they could of used so their marketing team failed miserably on 2 levels then decided they couldn't be bothered any more and started throwing lawyers at it.

    that argument only works if
    1: it being illegal actually prevents people just getting high all day
    2: throwing them in prison was less harmful/costly to society than accepting that lifestyle.

    there are other options of course, you could legalise it but have mandatory rehabilitation classes or something that tries to get them back into the workforce, which would probably have low success rates but be spectacularly more useful than throwing them in jail.

    the average life span of a dollar bill is less than 2 years according to http://www.enchantedlearning.com/math/money/bills/one/, sure not everyone beats up their money but very few people take care of it, though i suppose larger notes would probably last longer.

    erm... i'm pretty sure there are a lot of gui programs that don't use print. ignoring that i think fixing brackets on print is pretty fucking trivial. do you have any better examples?

    i have searched, after an hour or so on the first couple i gave up, i'm sorry if that wasn't clear, it just isn't worth my time. Which visualization are you using that supports 3d acceleration btw?
