This isn't "rocket science" all you have to do is look around a little. Somehow I doubt California has cornered the market on a web site like this. </rant>
oh come on, you know this is/. I didn't bother to take into account other peoples opinions.;)
Unfortunatelty I have not been to Asia (hope to get there soon), but I have seen all the flashy stuff for cell phones.
Personally, I prefer my phone to be as stealthy as possible (in the pocket, on vibrate), people don't need to know that I am carrying a phone or that it's ringing. But that's just me because my wifes phone plays some goofy song when it rings.
So as long as they dont force me to have a glowing box to play my tunes, it's OK by me.
I believe the only approach which will work is a "sender pays" model for bulk e-mail advertising.
Emphasis mine.
He wasn't recommending a digital postage stamp system. He was saying that if they want to spam they need to pay essentially dues to some central spam authority who would in turn be responsible for distribution to the ISP's for use of their systems.

I just wish it was out. I'll use it no matter what name it has, as long as it does what I need it to do, reliably.
Today for the first time I have seen one of the common complaints, it just dies after a while. I want to see this go away, Mozilla in OS X is just a little too slow for my liking.
I'll stick with my Vonage setup, it doesn't require my box[s] to be on to use it.
Now if you could set that up so that all I had to do was get online with my powerbook, plug in a phone and have my Vonage number access, that would rock.
They changed the + functionality in I believe v0.4.
But...
+ does what you are looking for.
I stayed with v0.3 until I figured out that the functionality was still there and I just didn't know where it was anymore.
Although I'm using Chimera now.

You might want to look at Win4Lin. The last version I used was 3.0 so I can't speak about 4.0. But in my experience 3.0 ran Win 98 just as fast if not fatser than native, probably due to disk IO. YMMV.
OR any quick dialog box that requires a yes/no/cancel interaction. OR one that validates user input (removing the slow interaction between server and client just to confirm they actually typed something useful into the text box)
umm.. do you mean like these??
alert("Your input is not valid");
OR
confirm("Are you sure you want to do that?");
These will work on any browser that has javascript enabled and require very little work from you.
Of course they wont make the designers very happy because they can't control the look and feel, but don't try to say you can't do these things because someone has blocked popups...
Now I am about to take XP off my computer because its loosing faxes and the printer dont work on it, etc... Its affecting my love life;)
I went through this as well.
I tried backing up any importatnt stuff and doing a reinstall, I thought that a "bug fix" broke it (like that ever happens;).
No go. The lost faxes, they weren't really lost, you just can't see them in the fax app.
Being a former Windows support tech I know how stupid some of the fixes can be, so I started mucking around.
It turns out that the fix for this was to move all of the faxes out of the outbox and inbox, then fire up the fax app and import them back in. I had to do this a few times before it imported all of the faxes back in. But it worked and has continued to work, so who cares.
I'll probably get slammed for this, but...

Seriously, if you are too lazy to check with the local governments, you might want to stick with a job where you can just "get by".
If you live in California you can look here.

Good luck on your new venture.

While I think this would be have a lot of "neato" factor to it. They would have to find more juice in the battery.
I don't believe that many poeple are wiling to trade playtime for a few minutes of "Wow! that's neat."
Personally, I wouldn't be willing to trade 1 hour of music per charge for a glowing box.

oh my gwad... a geek that actually gets outside...
I will assume you have never spec'ed a TiBook...
The 15" and up models have Gig-E and have had it for quite a while.
And are drooling about this thing.
I speced one as close as I could to my 1GHz TiBook and it was the same price and the Dell did not include a SuperDrive equivalent.
So considering that the keyboard/mouse thingy has been replaced twice in my Dell Inspiron in 18 months, I think I will stick with my TiBook.
Looks like a nice machine other than the fact that I have seen too many Dell portables fall apart.

At least that's the way I read it.
Guess it's a good thing I use JunkBuster and wear my tin foil hat while surfing the web...
Have a day..
They happen to be two different companies...
VMware
Connectix
If the penis enlarger folks only make 40k a year maybe they should try charging by the inch...
err, Finder as in nothing visible but the desktop? or as in browsing my home directory?
;)
I gotta find a place[s] that has a list of all the cool shortcuts and tricks so I can get up to speed.
I tried it last night on the desktop and nothing happened and Chimera just dinged at me like I was a moron
Sorry, I can't play around until I get home, all I have in the office is a sluggish old PC.
Ok, cmd-option-click_desktop is nice. Thanks.
What is cmd-option-m supposed to do? I get noting...
Forgive me, I'm a recent switcher and my Mac skillz aren't so l33t.

If a page is built to be HTML compliant it's going to render pretty much the same across all of the browsers.
It's the lame IE only extensions that people are always using that muck things up for other browsers.

I don't figure most people have 10 years worth of hair on their head.
umm, maybe because a drug test doesn't give them 10 years of history?
Damn it! you would think that if you select "Plain Text" it would replace the <>'s
;)
But then again, maybe that's what that preview button is for...
They changed the <CTRL>+<ENTER> functionality in I believe v0.4.
But...
<ALT>+<ENTER> does what you are looking for.
I stayed with v0.3 until I figured out that the functionality was still there and I just didn't know where it was anymore.

OK, so if I send a message that goes through here and I have passed through say here how are you going to track the origin again??
