    The font is the same as Microsoft's and if you look at the end you can see the little notch in the "d" which I believe is a hold over from the hyphen...

    Basically he is saying that Microsoft will absorb McDonalds and you will no longer "buy" food you will license it.

    I wouldn't want to be on that license audit team...

    I would venture to guess that those numbers are also skewed in the other direction by people like me that do not allow the notifications to be sent...

    So it may very well be a wash. Although I doubt there are as many users that don't send the reports as there apps that crash all day long.

    But I also doubt that Bill would say publicly that 5% of all windows systems crash multiple times a day if the number wasn't actually a little higher.

    Just a thought.

    Of course I recently switched, so I could be full of it.

    I know, it's not cheap and doesn't support vorbis files and the manager is Windows only.

    But to me the ability to control it through my factory head unit makes that a non-issue.

    It does support mp3, wma, flac and audible.

    If I wasn't leasing my car I would have gotten one as soon as Audi officially supported and started installing them.

    Yeah, I was kinda of hoping that adding the junk at the bottom I might get a little more out of it. Free traffic is free traffic.

    I only saw about 40, it may have gotten a better turn out had it been in my original +5, the other one never made it past it's initial 1, so nobody saw it.

    He posted knowing that either the bandwidth bill for the month is going to be insane or the box will melt or both. I'm betting on the first. Guess we shall see what kind of load VMWare virtualization software can take.

    Overture is capable of delivering as many clicks as I am able to pay for.

    I can spend $3000 at google and get ~1000 visits or I can spend $3000 at overture and get ~3200 visits

    I'm sure that may not be the case for every business, but it is true in my space.

    Yahoo! did not buy a "search engine" they purchased a company that provides a Pay Per Click advertising mechanism that is most likely very profitable. I can say that they they get a pretty good chunk of my advertising budget every month.

    These are examples from my business. Using the same basic keywords.

    google: $2.85 average cost per click
    overture: $.95 average cost per click

    Which one of those makes more sense to you from a business perspective?

    Just call the method like this:

    require_once("class.php");
    class::method("arg1" );

    instead of class->method("arg1").

    How does that help me do something like this?

    $cust = new Customer($db, $id);
    $city = $cust->getAddress()->getCity();

    Your approach is only going to call a function on an empty object. I want to be able to get to an Object within an Object. Unless I am missing something.

    Personally I'm glad to see it. I'm tired of having to create a new object just to call one of it's methods (see Dereferencing). Not to mention not being able to throw/catch Exceptions.

    there were always 3-4 movies laying around the house in addition to our own collection. When your scenario came up, we had 3-4 movies plus our collection to choose from.

    Finish one and send it off.

    Of course this was back when you could turn around a movie with NetFlix in about 4 days.

    Really, between any decent browser allowing you to disable pop-ups and Junkbuster installed...

    When you can block all cookies and decide what domains your browser is not allowed to get to, what's the big deal?

    Gotta love targeted ads though, as I type this the banner up top is for: Kill popup windows?, Popup killer: STOPzilla, Top rated popup blocker and Block Pop Ups.
