Can you convert from Reiser 3 to 4 "live" like you can convert ext2 to ext3?
No, you can't, and Debian does support Reiser4 to an extent (old August patch by the looks of things). But you're right, it's not going to be included in Debian kernels until it enters mainline.
SELinux with a strict policy. However, Fedora/Redhat found that a strict policy tends to break too much stuff, from what I gather, and have instead created a 'targeted' policy to lock down daemons such as dhcpd, httpd, syslogd, etc.
Of course, ultimately a user can destroy any system they have local access to with enough perseverance. That's their prerogative:(
Respectfully, I think you're mistaken considering bittorrent isn't even a streaming protocol. AFAIK, groups such as 'LOL' capture, encode, and release the episodes, much the same as groups do for movies movies.
I have what would probably be termed a mild compulsive behaviour problem, if there is such a thing.
When I was younger (11-16) I played games -- sports and video games -- to the detriment of *everything* else. I didn't socialise outside of the football pitch, the tennis court*, or someones room huddled around a computer game of some sort. Why? Because playing games/sports, even though they don't matter, even though you're not particularly good, makes you feel happy.
And you know what? My behaviour was seen as quite normal at that age. Yeah, I was seen as a bit strange -- mostly because the rest of my free time was spent consuming books and I'm a deeply introverted person -- but overall I was accepted. It was only when my peers turned to underage drinking, experimenting with drugs, and clubbing that I was left behind to a certain extent. Yes, I did try these things but I got a bigger serotonin kick from sports and games.
Of course my life segfaulted before I could resolve these issues:(
Technically, a machine's time since last reboot; jargonically, how long a hacker has gone without sleep. "What's your uptime?" "Oh, about 28 hours so far, but I think I can probably do another 12." This is, of course, a reference to the uptime command and the pride with which most Unix types note how long their computers go without reboots. Uptime is a testament to the stability of the OS and the stamina of the hacker.
It's not profitable to lay cable in the countryside, generally, so that's out for a lot of bumpkins^Wpeople like me.
From what I gather from the summary (of course I haven't RTFA), various IT journalists are comparing broadband in the US to various countries in Western Europe and Asia, and coming to the conclusion that American connections are nowhere near those elsewhere. And team GB is behind the States so...
Our postal service can't meet their targets and we are beholden to BT for all our telecommunications. At the very least in America there is a sembalance of competition.
I'm mildly annoyed because a 72hr outage was caused by a cow (supercow powers) munching through some BT cable. Don't they bury these things?
Knightley, whoever played Lancelot, and the Saxon leader had the best performances...but Arthur (sorry, "Artuius") was awful. The pseudo-History was also irritating as hell for me.
Spiderman2, "I, Robot", and The Village are all much more enojyable movies.
Well, it all depends on what the attacker gets from the kernel memory dump. Could be that they get sensitive information or it could be they get nothing that would help in privilege escalation. I'd rather close that door altogether, myself by using 2.6.8-rc or 2.4.27.
But, please, unless GP has written a proof of concept that shows Linux is rootable via rendering a webpage, he should stop posting flamebait and go back to working on his 'depenguinator'.

Well, IIRC, I've been able to write CDs/DVDs as a user since 2.6.9, definitely with the 2.6.10 release candidates, but then I'm a CK user :)
I use nzbget (defunct) and nzb's mostly. There's a patch for nget. Binaries ahoy!
Quite. It's pretty sad if you can't deadlift what is (hopefully) less than your own body weight.
It's not exactly fire and forget, though. Hunting for missing files can be a PITA in my, admittedly limited, experience.
What tools do you recommend for binary harvesting?
Thank you very much!
The anti-Gentoo zealots are a direct response to the Gentoo zealots, and both sets annoy everyone else :)
Greenfly needs to make a new page then.

Should have used preview...preview :)

* The most popular sports at my school. YMMV.
Emphasis mine.
Or that killer app may be someone coming up with an awesome spam/virus/security solution that requires features found in IPv6.
IPv6 *is* a virus/worm/security solution (sort of). The huge address space just makes random attacks ineffective.
Does anyone know if it works as well with apt as Debian does? Or as poorly?
Apt is poor, huh? Guess I missed the memo. Anyway, it looks like it used apt4rpm: ftp://apt.yoper.com/yoper/
I too have (6) more invites than I know what to do with.

Just reply to this post with your address.

http://www.tunelinux.com/ is defunct now :( but I'm sure there are some other sites you could find with google.
Here's the first one I found...
You mean King Arthur? Yes, pretty damn dire, IMO.

They have a plan, at least.

Wow, that's 10tcps. With my 'self-taught' method I get maybe 5tcps (4.5cps -- 10% typos) if I'm lucky.
To do:
Practice, practice, practice!
Plus the fact that it's only available internationally between 3 and 10 days after it was first seen on store shelves in the US.
