Instead of making a retro-remake try a retro-re imagined. Here are a few ideas off the top of my head:
* Instead of falling bricks - floating balloons - random spikes at the top and you need to try to position them in such a way to not pop. Points for largest structures. * How about a 1st person perspective version? * How about a GTA perspective version set in a decrepit city with falling stuff from crumbling buildings.
Define "distribute". They have a piece of software that they run somewhere? So it's not distributed if it used within the University? What if they have multiple campuses? I never understood the definition of distribute as it applies to GPL.
Actually I'm working on a similar vein. Goldchest will eventually be a MMO based on the the old gold box games and will have an interactive infocom styled parser for puzzles....
* Auto import of namespace references * Code insight - know if something is broken without having to compile everything (BTW something that Java IDEs have had since the 90s) * Proper ability to re-factor code where XML is involved.
Odd. Since IntellIJ works fine with Java 6 even though it internally uses Java 5 (at least in my version). BTW Intellisense in Visual Studio is a bit of a misnomer since it's largely unusable without Resharper. A better name would be Retardsense.
Well we do vote for the person. The rep belongs to a party usually though they don't have to.
The difference comes down to the Spider-man thing: "with great power....".
A prime minister is the head of his party and as such as more power (relatively) than a US president. The diff is that while a president may make stupid decisions which affects his own legacy - a prime minister has to worry about his whole party. If he fucks up we take out the whole government.
Back in 89 we did that to the Conservatives. Mulroney had a 13 percent approval at the end. They went from a a majority government to 2 (count em') seats.
It took them 15 years to rebuild. Imagine taking out the republicans completely if you didn't like Bush.
It's not the party system perse that's the problem in the US - it's that it's not a parliamentary democracy. Parties in the US don't have platforms - they are more like associations than parties. Each rep in the US can vote however they want on any issue really.
In Canada a party has a platform and when elected - they are supposed to follow their platform. Otherwise we remove and replace the WHOLE GOVERNMENT - like we did with Mulroney.
Canada did have the advantage though of being about 100 years younger so we had the chance to look at the US to see what doesn't work and correct it in our system.
The document and settings transfer wizard in Windows 7 did not ask me to authenticate for the other profiles I transferred. So I assume that if one were to examine that program there might be something in there.
When I installed Windows 7 on my laptop - at the point where it asked me for the Key I unplugged to take the laptop to my desk to get the key - and the Key dialog was simply bypassed! I was on the next screen. So I still haven't entered my key. Maybe this only happens with a MSDN license - not sure.
The issue here I think is where small game developers "clone" old games. Instead of cloning them - re-image them instead. I started a new gold box game engine (web site ugly right now) which uses a similar look and feel but I'm redesigning it from scratch (and implementing new features).

Don't you mean http://www.robotuprising.com/home.htm ? :)
NTR
It's a marketing stunt.

Not really. He had a lot of work. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000638/#actor1970
Yeah. I'm working on such an animal now.

RPGs don't need the latest and greatest graphics. Story is the most important aspect IMO.

PowerBuilder? LOL.

New computer is off the domain. I browsed to the old computer and it allows me to transfer ALL profiles.
Not sure if anyone knows about these but...

Neat!. Where's the facking save option?
Nah FORMAT C: would be better.

Why unnamed? Why the secrecy? Bring the cockroaches out into the light.
Thanks. Nice link!
Is this comic available as a torrent somewhere? I'd love to read the original.
