    More likely this is what happens an organization does not have processes for execution and validation. Regardless of whether they are contractors of FT's if no one audits their work this can happen.

    It always disappoints me how little hemp is used in industry. It is my understanding that hemp is easy to grow, is a more durable replacement for cotton and can be a more sustainable fibre for paper.

    I have college diplomas in the fields of mechanical and electronic engineering (technologist and technician for the Canadians). I also took all advanced math, physics and chemistry classes in high school. I don't remember ever seeing the notation "4+3+2=( )+2" before.

    I'm currently repairing a laptop, although very new, is infected with viruses and spyware. Interestingly the client is a male teenager about to start college. He had loaded some dubious file sharing applications which are likely avenues for the infections. My perception of the tech-savvy generation has just been changed.

    To be fair many organizations that use security questions limit the customer to a set of canned questions. In those cases you can only choose between your pet's name, the street of your first home or your mother's maiden name. The pin number on some bank cards is still limited to only four (four!) digits. So if you want to be more secure organizations are not helping you.

    Ut2004 runs find with some 32bit helper libraries on a 64 bit machine. Enemy Territory and Quake Wars both do not (for me).

    Doesn't the success of a platform be it console, PC or Internet live and die by the quality of the game? Would any of the big three consoles be big if there were no quality games? I don't think most people care what the game plays on so long as it meets their entertainment expectations.

    In UNIX one might try running the browser as another user via 'su'. That user could be isolated with no useful data or access. Probably some X permissions will have change to allow the browser to display on an X server owned by another user.

    Could this be accomplished with Windows?

    Mechanical watches have had auto winding movements for over a century. Seiko have had self charging quartz watches for decades. It seems that any new kinetic charging system would just be an evolution of these.

    The N900 will work on Windmobile's network at full speed. Wind is rumored to be selling the phone soon but for now they say you can use your own N900 with their SIM cards. Dave Wireless is supposed to run on the same frequencies as Wind but Dave is not on line yet.

    UFO's are unidentified. Everything about a UFO is unknown. Space is one, albeit very unlikely, UFO hypothesis.

    How many people actually study the manual that come with any product? I've been using Linux for so long that I'm not certain what would go into a beginner's guide to Linux. Does Windows come with such a document? Do Windows licensees find it useful? Do they even read it?

    I would surmise that if such a large quantity of people could work via telecommuting those people that still must commute could do so very efficiently because of traffic reduction.

    Autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles are a worthy goal but as the parent post points out if a significant portion of the population were permitted to telecommute traffic gridlock and associated pollution would plummet. There are also other benefits to this situation. Shorter commutes mean happier people. Combined with cleaner air health care costs would drop.

    I've spent time telecommuting. Having an extra one to three hours of extra time in the day is liberating.

    I see too many organizations using DNS as an inventory system (e.g prtsertor01) resulting in host names more difficult to remember than IP addresses.

    It's not the installation that bothers me but the assumption by software vendors that their software is so important that it should auto-start.

    Sparkle 9500GT
