It's a pound moran. 1 pound is sort of like 2 dollars. So each of these songs will be about $20. What a ripoff.

The problem is we need CHEAPER oil, not to stop driving SUVs. Sheesh. Some people need the extra room that an SUV like the Chevy Suburban or the Ford Excursion offer to their family. YOU try carting around 3 pre-teen boys in a sedan sometime. They need to be constantly seperated and entertained. That means lots of space and a DVD/LCD system in the back along with a game console and music.. seperate radios if possible with wireless headphones. Do you think your average Honda hybrid vehicle will satisfy these requirements? Hell no. Don't even mention mini-vans because you might as well chop off a guy's balls and stick them in his wife's purse if you're going to make him drive a minivan. No, REAL men prefer huge SUVs. Look at extreme situations like handybackup.com vs. handybackup.net. Two ENTIRELY different companies. handybackup.net pirated handybackup.com's software and hacked it to release their "new and improved" 4.1 version, stole handybackup.com's site layout down to the fscking images and is pretty much indistinguishable from handybackup.com except for very minor things like being Novosoft LLC instead of Novosoft Inc. Oh yeah, since a user should be required to shell out $30 for a magical device that does nothing but Band-Aid the poor design of Windows NT. No user should be required to purchase a hardware firewall just to use a severely-misdesigned product.

It has nothing to do with Windows and everything to do with vulnerable default installs. Your Linux box is just as vulnerable as a Windows98 system after being freshly installed until you turn off all the services and/or turn on the netfilter firewall. Same goes for Macs running OS X. With a hardware box there's no need to worry about being compromised before you can finish downloading updates. Also, $30 is nothing considering you've got a computer worth at least several hundred dollars and are spending at least that much a month for broadband. I assume we're talking about broadband at least since unplugging a network cable doesn't make much difference to a dialup user.

Too bad the firewall software loads *last* in the startup sequence, leaving a gaping hole of anywhere from 20 seconds to two minutes (on a slow machine) when your machine is on the net and unprotected. And during the height of worm activity, that's *more than enough* time to get infected.

A $30 Netgear router would've eliminated that problem. Even if I had one machine I'd still buy a router so I didn't have to worry about software firewalls.
