Hmmm.....I've already got WMP, RealPlayer and Quicktime (don't ask).... do I need WinAmp also? Or is there some way to get streaming ogg with one of these. The Ogg/Vorbis codec that allows me to play local.ogg files doesn't seem to allow streaming, or perhaps WMP is not aware of ogg streaming.....
Hmm, if you're the creator of all things and you're perfect how can you create something that in not perfect?
Key words: "free will". If you want a bunch of people to have relationships with, it's gotta be out of 'free will'. 'Free will' is not 'free will' if there are no viable alternatives. To have actual relationships with people, you don't want mere robots. No-one wants that in a relationship. To achieve this, God has to allow people to choose between Him and a life without Him. There has to be a viable (or seemingly viable) alternative. The alternative has to be equally as tempting, I guess, otherwise it's like asking someone whether they want to eat pie or dirt (not really a viable alternative). So that is perhaps why a perfect God had to create man as he did.
Think about your own relationships. Would you want someone to act like they love you because you pay them or because they have to? Or would you rather they choose to love you? God gives each person enough hints to find and choose Him, without forcefully bursting in on your life. Anyone who truly seeks Him will find Him.
BTW, to all you people who think Adam and Eve ate the apple, the bible never said that! Read the first few chapters of Genesis if you don't believe me.
I had huge issues upgrading SuSE 8.2 to SuSE 9.0 on my laptop. According to Yast2 the upgrade went ok, yet KDE wouldn't work at all and many other things were screwed. I clean install was the only fix.
My desktop has had Debian for years, and all upgrades have gone great (except for when *I* did stupid things). Apt-get is a reliable and safe method to safely upgrade to the next release, and even downgrade (e.g. from Sid back to Stable). This is something that the SuSE team cannot match as yet.
I was given an old ZX81 with 16k expansion pack a few years back. Some of the spongy keys don't work to good anymore. Is there any way to resurrect the keys on these things?
Is there a generic list somewhere of bad urls to block on a proxy/firewall? Not that it would contain all the urls of known malware, but a good starting point. We have a firewall built into our router that blocks ports, urls, and even filters keywords. The main culprits I see install are searchbars.
What BS. Ever heard of Microsoft? Ever hear of their prices going down due to economies of scale? If there was zero competition, would their price go down? I think not.
Just to answer your last question. After what we did to Iraq the arab world wouldn't do that for fear of attack. Even if they did do that it would only be a small move to start using "eminent domain" to claim there lands as ours.
'cause really what could they do.
More like kicking over a wasp nest really. The US have not brought peace into Iraq. See how many have been killed since the war ended. See what the arabs having been doing in Israel & Gaza for many years? Now imagine suicide bombers daily in the US and then try and stop them.....
The US is the big bully in the world's playground, that has kicked over too many sand castles. What the US did to Iraq is like using a wasp nest as a piñata.....uh oh....
Patterns of Birth: "I was born Republican, my pappy was Republican, his pappy was too, and I'm gonna die Republican."
This goes both ways. Many democrat supporters have the same mentality.
I liked the movie F9/11, but one thing that concerned me was the guy who had always voted republican, who said he is now going to be very vocal for the democrats. People need to think outside of the square, instead of flip-flopping between the two parties. There is ample evidense that both parties have screwed the country in some way when it was their turn to rule. Each will continue to do so in each's own turn in power. Perhaps a third or fourth option is needed, otherwise the same one party will get in power when the other in unpopular, and so on, rinse and repeat...
Iraq, North Korea, China, India, Wales, etc, actually any country, has a right and a duty to defend itself. If the US and other countries have nukes, then every sovereign nation on the planet has the duty to defend itself with similar force.
Wanna hear a real joke? Download "Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds" or "Rocketman" sung by William Shatner years ago. These tracks are sooooo embarrassing for Shatner! You will laugh until you split your sides.
RTCW Enemy Territory is the ultimate LAN party game. It's not a mindless "Run 'n Gun" type FPS. You must work as a team to beat the opposing team. Also, it's easy to bark orders when the other team members are in the same room as you.;-)
The game is completely free, as in beer. And there are HEAPS of high quality 3rd party maps to download and play.
Primo. Cheers dude.

Tom's Root Boot" is the only Linux boot CD needed to fix a Linux system. Although I use Knoppix occasionally to test hardware.
It would go down. Economy of scale.

BSD? Really? I thought BSD was dying...
:-)
Netcraft confirms it, don't you know.
What's the difference between bhis and the vanilla version? Does it pester to update?
Yeah, lets hope [buffering...] so, eh?
Debian users might find it easier to use Flavio Stanchina's ATI debian packages and HOWTO. I found these much easier to install.

...it was a thinly veiled pursuit of $$$. It had absolutely nothing to do with WDM's or 9/11. You know it. I know it. Bush continues to lie about it.
...not for something that actually affects the American people
or the slaughter of 1000's of innocent civilian men, women and children it would seem.
George W. Bush is a war criminal and should be on trial as one, not re-elected.

Bah bah bah ba-ba-ba-bah, ba-ba-ba-bah, Hey Judge!
Information wants to be free! ;-)

> Free... assuming you have Return to Castle Wolfenstein already.
Duh!! Wrong!!!! ET is completely free, as in beer. The full game is a free download.
Actually, 4.7GB / 200GB = .0235, not 2%. Rounded to nearest 0.5% = 2.5%.
Shouldn't that be SOIT?
