woooo!!!! A whole 100gb used total for the entire project so far. This must be crippling the internet as we know it. Dude, that's a trickle compared to the bandwidth used up every day by SPAM.
Basically a generic boot cd that will boot to a RDesktop would be ideal, rather than having to configure DHCP servers to allow network boot, etc. All a computer really needs is a unique computer name perhaps (randomly) and an IP. Or have I missed something?
Dude, evolutionists don't believe "man evolved from apes". That is an easy boo-boo for them to shoot down. They believe that man and ape share a common ancestor, in the same way that goldfish and rubber plants also share a common ancestor.
Of course not everyone is conviced. This is obviously the work of satan meant to deceive people into thinking that God did not actually create the world in 7 days.
Sorry to bust your bubble, but the biblical view is the God created the world and everything in it in 6 days. ref: Ex 20:10

I'd love to see a Knoppix variant that will simply do the following: 1). Grab an IP address via DHCP 2). Configure hardware 3). StartX 4). Prompt for Server name 5). Start RDesktop
Nothing else. I am amazed it hasn't been done yet. The ultimate thin client boot CD.

... when you fall out of the plane and forgot to pull your parachute, when land starts getting closer you hear a loud runny fart sound as the soldier has obviously crapped himself. My friend and I split our sides laughing over that one for ages!
Thanks for that. It's not a question of legitimate use, but more of bandwidth. As soon as one or two gets going with one of these clients, most of the internet bandwidth is sucked up.
I look after a large network and wish to block Bittorrent clients. What ports do you need to block, and which are the main websites that people use to find.torrents? I will be blocking suprnova.org. Alot of our users are Chinese and use BitComet.
One word "toxic". If people can get round-up poisoning by getting a little round-up on their skin, what happens when they consume produce that has been soaked in it? Sure this article only talks about Coca plants, but Monsanto wants round-up resistant plants of other kinds such as maize, soy beans, wheat. Things that people consume in large quantities. May not cause poisoning per se, but could have nasty long term effects. We are only just now learning of the dangers of cooking with telfon (Dupont being sued because product is a carcinogen), even though millions have been using it for years.
A question:
Netflix are in the business of renting DVD's, so why would they be ripping and storing movies on a server?
PROOF. ;-)
The is /. so shouldn't it be something like news.com^2?

..or arrive late, say 10-15 mins after the advertized session start time. Works for me.
Works fine for me on Firefox 1.0 pre-release. The only difference I see is that IE shows the total downloaded in MB.
> A net police force monitors websites and e-mails, and controls on gateways connecting the country to the global internet....
How about a police force to monitor SPAM exiting the country?
The side-effects of the TriPhase treatment are convulsions and fever, followed by death!
A quote from their site:
"Advertising - delivered by Cydoor and the GAIN Network"
Cydoor and GAIN are definitely spyware.
Version 3.0 features:
"Advertising - delivered by Cydoor and the GAIN Network"
Hmmm.....Spybot Search & Destroy seems to think Cydoor and GAIN are spyware.
Dude, the object is not to degrade service even. It's object is simply to increase bandwidth costs for the websites.

The idea isn't to degrade ther performance of the webservers even. The idea is simply to increase their bandwidth costs significantly.
Does GIMP support these? If not, why not? I do realize that many Photoshop plugins won't work under some OS's.

> What is this multitasking magic you keep on talking abut?
It's something that only women can do, so we guys are forced to buy computers to do this for us.
