I could see this being big like the personalized iPods. Personalized NEWater that's been recycled from your favorite star's very own "waste water". You could buy Madonna flavored NEWater and be sure that it comes from a kosher Kaballah source. Or for those a little more daring, try the new Keith Richard's flavor, "Just like his blood, it's refreshingly recycled." Seriously, there's money to be made here.
What kind of link is that? Right wing propaganda nutjob website presented as an opposing viewpoint of worth? Dave Kopel's article entitled "Loaded Guns Can Be Good for Kids" tends to show how much of a nut job this Dave Kopel guy is.

Bah. There are many more worthy opposing viewpoints to Michael Moore's film. This politics section of Slashdot needs some better editorial work.

4) Hop on this shyster's lawsuit.

Read the RFC and you'll understand the problems with a mandated TLD. It's not about protecting the kids, it's about being forced to have a TLD that might not be appropriate for your website. If you discuss abortion rights, would you need an adult TLD?
If you discuss condoms, would you need an adult TLD?
Who decides what is adult? The FCC? Congress?
RTFRFC
Am I missing something here? Was that post supposed to be sarcastic? And who modded as Insightful? This RFC would push you toward being a more involved parent, since it is AGAINST the adult TLD idea. Did you read the RFC? Eastlake's arguments are quite good. Having to move to an adult domain because you happen to have a forum on your website that discusses abortion issues or gay/lesbian issues, or birth control, for example, could lead to you being prosecuted by a frothing at the mouth John Asscroft(remember he had a bad gallbladder). And as far as Lieberman's opinion goes, he can kiss my butt. He has about as much foresight as he has foreskin.
I work for a major university in California. We're currently implenting Peoplesoft's Student Administration product. (Which is a giant piece of crap BTW, but it's better than other products out there. I wish we had developed our own solution.) If Oracle buys out Peoplesoft, we would have to spend millions to get a new product. (We don't believe Larry when he says that Oracle will continue to support Peoplesoft's products.) If you consider that this software is used by a large number of schools in the US, you can figure out that this will be a HUGE expense (Hundreds of millions of dollars) for all these schools to switch to some new product in a few years. Who will pay this cost? You will. Either in school bonds or higher student fees. Larry ain't gonna pay for it. He's got to pay for his jet fuel.
ClearCom is the way to go. Many theaters already use this system so you'd be using an industry standard. This will be helpful in getting a stage tech job in the future. The other nice thing about ClearCom is that it won't be affected by the Farraday Cage effect that can be caused by many lighting rigs/catwalks that are placed above the stage.
Last time I checked Microsoft isn't a common adjective like Mythic is. What about all the other game companies that have Mythic in their names? Can't they sue Mythic Entertainment in the same way if they made a fantasy game prior to DAoC?
Every time I see MW2 mentioned in a video game article I think of Mech Warrior 2.
There are actually zergling pets in the game.
"and a plain vanilla CD-ROM" Wow! Both plain AND vanilla! Walmart to the T!

Isn't that what happens to people who wear fur?

If this lawyer sings up for an account on Slashdot, he's gonna have a field day.
Should I pick one from this list? http://secunia.com/advisories/11978/ Hmmmm....
In this case it would be pissing in someone else's Chai.
Hmmmm.....That costume says... NOT GAY ENOUGH!!!
Spiderman has been fighting demons throughout his career, particularly in the last few issues of Straczynski's Amazing Spider-Man.
If they publicly called you a terroist in writing without sufficient evidence, can't you sue their berets off for libel?

That's a decent reaction considering Lieberman has the same amount of foresight as he has foreskin.

Actually, the public DOES own the airwaves. Those companies are licensed to use them, not own them. We subscribe to them for their content.
With that bandwidth at that price, Cincinatti gamers will be some serious LPB's. I am filled with gaming envy.

Hmmmm.....Because of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, they ARE cold and dead!!
How do you pronounce your last name?
They should've gone with the radioactive approach and have Godzilla take care of it all in one breath.
