Now on top of the $1xx per system for Windows XP Pro, add in antivirus, anti spyware, some kinda office software, etc etc, bah forget that, open source for life, Suse or Centos + Openoffice + firefox + thunderbird makes me a happy man. No IE patches, no M$ tax, no spyware.
I'd have gone with xphome, free antivirus, free antispyware and free office software. But hey. I'd even push it further to go with Windows media edition, but you're welcome to skew things as much as possible to best represent your personal preference.
Me, i'm just lazy.
You will however remind her to put petrol in the car and actually put food in the dog though won't you? Don't want you buying a new car because the incompetent car manufacturer didn't free you of the obligation to comprehend what you're doing with that big expensive toy you just bought, now would we?
Great, sadly there are still the same incompetant operators working the machine.
I've been using windows since about 93, and never had a virus. Perhaps you'll work out the "bad workman blames his tools" things when people bother writing exploits for the mac.
What special kind of retard are you?

Or just completely blind to the rich history of mankind and the ritual wearing of "clothing" to alter states of mind.
Even the simplest idiot can grasp that when someone wears a suit, they leave behind work in the ritual of removing the suit and donning casual clothes. When they place upon themselves "the suit" then it is time to be in the work frame of mind.
If that was the case, no doubt a large software publisher
would state in its operating system license contract that all software
running on top of it must be purchased from them.
Software manufacturers just aren't that stupid.
Since you just said that you can't resell downloads like you can an lp.
So either music exec's can't afford drug habits right now because of these 2nd hand sales mythically slashing the market value of songs.
Or.
2nd hand sales are rather irrelevant.
2nd hand sales are relevant for physical items because you can't duplicate them perfectly and therefore the cost of replication is higher whereas for digital media it's pretty costless so you may as well go to the original source.
It's annoying because some idiot is interrupting your film viewing with loud noises. Be assured, i get fucked off if the idiot behind me is having a conversation with his friend just as much as if it were into a mobile phone.
I didn't pay to hear your conversation, i paid to hear the fucking film.
Swap film with anything else to your taste.
It's like being rodeo'd when your with a prostitute.
With reference to this in the book "Sorcerers apprentice" the author was telling about how generals actually started to cry when they lost forces in the wargames. They thought of their troop positions in the game as actual real people and were saddened by their loss.
What a suprise. Someone throws their hands up to make an excuse as to why they don't want to pay for music.
Pay for it or don't pay for it. Quit with the long fucking sob story about how you're "not in the target audience".
I saw this exact same retarded crap on the thread about mini-ipod's.
Slashdot: News for Nerds and Economics failures.
Seriously, for a site with a population of folk who think they're smart - an awful lot of bullshit gets spouted.
From all the people who think powerpoint is evil, get a grip. I want to give BRIEFing to people on a topic. Powerpoint does the job admirably since it's easier to use for text than paint-shop.
I can also then send on the Powerpoint slides to people so they have a bite size summary they can double check information on.
I'm sorry, Video cameras, patdowns, walkie talkies between bars if they had any of the -common- things then that wouldn't have happened like that.
The guy had a collapsable fucking baton and had been kicked out of numerous places before. It would appear the id scanner would have done jack shit extra.
I want the bloody music, why in Gods name do you think i care less about "services". Just because i like one kylie minogue track does not mean that i desire to buy a years membership to her "club" just so i can get the track.
That's a HUGE barrier to purchase. Right now, albumns are a certain barrier but they are even a good barrier of sorts. The number of times i've bought an albumn because i've heard a couple of good things and ended up liking the whole albumn is common. If we split stuff into "individual tracks" then the spirit of Albumns will be gone forever and a number of those excellent "B-sides" will be lost.
To sum up. I don't give a fuck about a "SCENE", i'm not some groupie. Fucking fanboy.
Since large volume things like that would leave a considerably huge trail. The fact I used to work in a manufacturing facility that produced millions of mobiles i'm kinda wondering why i never saw any "mystery" chips.
Not really a better question. Someone can retain the copyright on something but still allow for it to be freely given to anyone and everyone.
Madonna was not conspiring to break the same laws owing to the fact that she recorded then track (F' YOU) and then spread it for public consumption. You won't see the RIAA coming for you for having that track on your PC, though amusingly you could claim your pc was littered with those messed up tracks rather than those tracks that you may have downloaded without actually owning a version of it. Since they name them the exact same how can they tell the difference?

Um, it's most definitely a game of skill. Or do people love lineage 2 so much despite the fact it boils down to a crapshoot?
I'm not trolling, just answering "fashion conscious" but content free posts.

let's all laugh at the americans complaining about capitalism at work.
Doesn't say much for the market then. BGA'tastic.
Out of interest where do you see they are best for reliability?

Uh, Darl is probably putting this idea out there as it's sure as heck the only way he now has to make any money.

It's a NEWS-BOT.

It's looking locally to find a news item before it goes outside.
Are you stupid or do you just really like badly designed shit?
