I've always hated word perfect. Back in the day (early to mid 90s) I'd always use Word because for me, it worked better. Today I'd give Open Office a shot over anything else.

That's bullcrap. We're supposed to be living in an open society. Hiding "secret" documents doesn't help anyone. Furthermore, these docs don't have a restrictive commercial copyright.

If democrats are trying to jerk around the public behind closed doors, the public has a right to know.

Your idea of a "strict segregation of church and state" is way off of the mark. For example, Christmas -- the birthday of Jesus Christ is a FEDERAL holiday. "In God we trust," "One nation under God," ... the list goes on and on.

Seperation of church and state is more of a secularist mantra than a point of law.

government shouldn't hire developers to work on Linux and artificially support a market

They won't have to. They can take their current windows developers and redeploy them on the new linux systems.

Another choice is to replace the windows developers with linux developers.

In either case, no workforce expansion needs to take place. And since linux is more stable and can do more work per server than windows, the support staff may actually gain man/hours that they don't currently have.

  22. There is no madness on Perens: Unite behind Debian, UserLinux · · Score: 0
