As I stated before, GINTS came first. To a non-anime fan, that does not matter much, they probably will see the Matrix first. My point was simply that if done and marketed correctly, people would see this movie as Matrix like, which was a smash hit.
They may not go after the anime audience, expecting them to watch weather or not it is good. If they do this right, many people will go see it. It has very deep and Matrix-like ideas (I believe Ghost came first). I am not a fan of anime, but I have seen the first Ghost In The Shell movie and enjoyed it. I watched it in a college film class on movie theater equipment. It all has to do with marketing it properly.
Assuming this was somehow enforceable, which it is not, it would cause the price of OS X and/or Mac hardware to go up. Its easier for Apple to stop others from selling clones and better for the customers of Macintosh hardware.
You bring up a good point though, how fast were the teams going? MPG is useless if one can walk to the destination as fast as one of these cars or faster.
I say let people take themselves out of the gene pool. No one should be forced to live and use resources society needs. Society as whole will suffer if a few more people die at their own hands.
Comcast is an ISP, cable tv and VoIP provider all in one. They charge too much for cable tv and have been known to limit P2P traffic here in the states.
I did not buy one, but came close. Someone gave me a BestBuy gift card and I decided to just buy an upconverting dvd player instead of a HD-DVD player simply because the cheap HD-DVD players only do 1080i. The reason I wanted a HD-DVD player was because of price and the fact that Netflix has HD-DVDs. Check Netflix for a possible HD-DVD firesale.
Although I do find your comment funny, in truth, HD-DVD players are not yet obsolete. Even if the HD-DVD format is dead, people are still buying DVDs and many have big collections.
Back in the day when I had a 200mhz Macintosh running OS 8.1 or 8.5 (I do not remember), emulators were the newest thing. In Mac OS I could not play all the Neo Geo Games smoothly and SNES games were often choppy. Browsing the web while playing mp3s was not always the best sounding experience. This would happen even if I disabled most of the extensions. Along came BeOS 4.5 and I could run emulated games at full speed. I could browse the web and play mp3s without them skipping. BeOS even recognized my G3 upgrade without any special extensions when I later added it. BeOS lacked 3rd party backing though, so I often found myself running Mac OS more often than not.

Ethics In IT

I said this last year during ethics week in my MBA Strategy class, "Ethics are simply a matter of time and place." Having said that, you simply have to describe the current schools of thought on ethics and how they developed.
What the hell does Bill Gates know about being poor? He comes from wealth, created wealth for himself and he does not create products for the poor. He is like Robin Hood stealing from the rich and poor alike, keeping most of it, in turn making him wealthier and then deciding to give back some of what he stole.
Charities are not the best way to give back. Being attentive to the needs of the poor is. Creating products the poor can use that will not harm the environment is the new capitalism. Products that are made for the poor can also be purchased by the rich. Solutions for the poor will solve many of the problems current capitalism has.
Apple gets a lot of their design ideas from IDEO, the people who brought you the TiVo remote and interface. But remember, one company cannot come out with all the evolutionary or revolutionary ideas themselves. This goes for Apple, IDEO and Tufte.
First of all, you assume I eat organic purely based on nutrients. I do feel better, the less additives I eat. To bad how I feel does not make a worthy study case. There are other reasons to eat organic, however. Using chemicals that are man made can cause deforestation, leading to unusable land in the future. Land is not unlimited, in case you forgot. However, economics dictates that we will find a substitute, which does not seem very plausible to me, or pay to fix the problem later. I choose to buy organic for my daily benefit and to promote better use of land. It took people a long time to realize the benefit of growing organically. That is why I raised the questions I did in regards to eating cloned food offspring. I am not some one who follows trends. I do things based on my own personal feelings and research. I also think science will solve many of our problems, but that simply does not mean we should follow it blindly. We need to be cautious of what we implement.
I try to buy as much organic food possible. So, I do not find this debate pointless. I am concerned where my food comes from. The cows we currently eat have been bread for their genes over thousands of years. How will this affect the future of selective breeding and how can we be sure there are no side effects from eating the offspring of cloned animals?
I was recently given a gift card to Best Buy and I happened to need a new DVD Player. Unfortunately, the only one I saw was $200 and couldn't do 1080p. I opted save $125 and buy an upscaling DVD Player. Lack of content was not a problem for me, however. I have Netflix. I did not think HD-DVD would lose anytime soon, either. It was simply a poor build quality that kept me from buying HD-DVD.

I hope someone else gets this and rates it funny.

I forgot the not. Should read "Society as whole will not suffer if a few more people die at their own hands."

You also lack the negotiation skills one acquires from trying to get out of a ticket, lessening a fine and dealing with irrational drivers.

Harry Truman was a Free Mason...
Blu-Ray is named for its blue laser.
1. Evolution is an arms race. Viruses and bacteria attack us and we adapt, so they adapt, creating a cycle.
2. Free markets are an arms race. When one business evolves, the other must to survive or perish.

You made that up. Everyone knows its 72%.

Sounds like the Toolbar could learn a lesson from Os 9s Control Strip.

Second sentence should read "Unfortunetely the only cheap HD-DVD Player I saw..."

The idea is one thing, the implementation another. He may have been a visionary, but the buck stops there.
