A domain name such as.kids (and possibly.xxx or.sex) would better served as second-level domains to ccTLDs. This would allow a more localized control to determine appropriate (or in the case of.xxx, inappropriate/unlawful) based on the society of each individual country.
This kind of control would be necessary to appease the purists, but it would not stop individuals from leaving kids.us and checking out kids.uk or kids.jp if I wanted too. (The same goes for a.xxx.us, it would probably be to dry so one would search for.xxx in more liberal ccTLDs.)
I had checked it out at rotten tomatoes after I posted. I notice the video (VHS/DVD) release will be available April 15th. I plan to keep an eye out for it.
After all the good things that are being said about this movie it would be a shame if it did not win best animated.
Nominations for ANIMATED FEATURE FILM ICE AGE LILO & STITCH SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON SPIRITED AWAY TREASURE PLANET
I've seen the first three with my kids. Here's my take: Ice age is pretty funny, but not exactly ground breaking. I saw it in the theater and liked it enough to buy the DVD.
Lilo & Stitch. Didn't see it in the theater, but bought the DVD after renting it. Again this movie is pretty funny, but not really ground breaking.
Spirit: blah blah blah. Saw it in the theater. My wife will probably get the DVD for the kids sooner or later. While this movie was not the most interesting as it is mostly an hour and a half of horse neighing, it's animation did have some redeeming qualities. The opening scene is grandiose, spacious and beautiful. There are quite a few scenes in the movie where the animation is very well done.
The other two I didn't see so let me know what I am missing.

When a game loads it requests X amount of RAM. Either you system has it or it doesn't. If the system doesn't have enough, hello paging file. The games typically do not use all available ram, i.e. [game] "Oh look this system has 1GB of RAM, oh goody!!" That would be why this review didn't even talk about RAM.
Granted there are most likely applications that do use all available RAM, i.e. CAD, Data Bases, Graphics...
Memory bandwidth is a whole different issue, but that's taken care of with the MoBo upgrades.

Actually this "black paint" would probably help for those LIDAR guns the cops are using. Painting front and rear ends of your car along with a good laser detector should help reduce your chances of getting caught spe... um... going just a little bit to fast.
In fact I remember reading an article in "Car and Driver" several years ago that did some testing with LIDAR guns and driving with you headlights on. IIRC driving with your high beams on would reduce the effectiveness of the LIDAR gun by a couple hundred feet. C-n-D even suggested installing high power off road lights with IR filters on them to even further reduce the effective range (giving you some time to slow down before the LIDAR is able to get a reading.)
Of course it seems those damn reflective license plates screw the whole thing up.
I went to a family picnic in West Virginia back in 96, and one of my wife's cousins had one there. It was great fun!! Funny thing about rednecks, since I was visiting from California (thus a "city boy") they figured I wouldn't know how to handle the thing. I fired it just as well as any of them. Probably the most exciting event was seeing who could shoot the potato the highest. Firing the potato in the little creak followed that. The novelty wore off quickly though, not to mention all our ammo was now a the bottom of a creek.
Even better, later in that same visit they decided to take me muddin', at night. So they grab two old bronco's and start climbing the hills. The one I am in gets stuck and the carburetor catches fire. After they put that truck out using their t-shirts, we all climb into the other truck. Oops, they left the lights on after shutting the truck off. (The battery was dead and they had jumped it just to take it muddin'.) Now all these rednecks are bitchin' and moaning about how we were going to have to walk back a couple of miles (Nothing to me really, I've "humped" further than that in the Corps.) What does the "city boy" do? "How about push starting it? It is a manual."
I'd have to agree with you. There was a time when I was a real big fan of the books. Then path of Daggers came out. It was kind of a let down and IIRC it was late also. So I am not in a real big hurry to read this next book. I figure I'll squeeze it in somewhere between this one and the next release.
However, what do you mean ghost story? Go ahead and spoil it for me.
I am not sure of your personal life; whether or not there are any children in your life be it your own children or nieces/nephews. I can only guess there may be some kid out there that looks up to you that is family. If not, then tailor you response for elementary grade school kids at a school function and an informational meeting with the parents.
What sort of things would you teach those kids, what sheltering would you provide, and what indicators would you look for in removing sheltering as the kids mature? How closely would you watch?

There is a serious problem with #4. The government can always seize all the assets for said company. Not to mention the GNP is a little more than a piddly $40 billion.
#5 already happens, but they have to compete with all the other companies try to buy the Govt. It's called campaign contributions.
#6 becomes invalid based on #4 and #5

The T2 DVD(super directors platinum whatever edition) has documentary on the making of the T2:3D attraction at Universal Studios. You can go here or here to see more about the ride, which is pretty darn cool. IIRC James Cameron stated in the documentary interview that he thought of T2:3D as T3 playing in only two theaters worldwide.
I am not sure how I feel about James Cameron not directing this new movie. But since hearing that Linda Hamilton turned down a job after reading the script, I am less than optimistic.
What about when you have been working for years with minimal documentation. Suddenly upper management wants you to document everything. Not too suspicious until you consider the amount of layoffs that has been happening recently. On the other hand new equipment is being implemented and there is more time during this slow economy.
So if "The writing is on the wall", do you take your time? Do you procrastinate? What quality do you provide? How much do you let your documentation interfere with your job hunting?
My boss was given this dilemma, right after setting up a W2K cluster. I think he followed the procrastination route. It seems management realized he is still worth what they pay him so they are not bothering about the documentation anymore.
