If you replace GTA 3 with [insert EA Sports Title here] you can see that recycling the same engine, gameplay, art, etc is not an uncommon procedure.

An interesting idea, actually. I had once semi-jokingly said to a friend that a stripped down linux on a disc could be used as a basis for games. In theory it would work pretty well, only the necessary stuff is loaded up. However, there would be no way to know what sort of hardware the machine booting the disc would have installed. I guess this is basically the idea behind those ill fated linux based consoles?

Abe Simpson: I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. 'Give me five bees for a quarter,' you'd say.

Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

Theoretically, cloning on a mass scale could lead to a lack of genetic diversity in a population. This would make said population very susceptible to all sorts of diseases. That is somthing to be concerned about. However, I have a feeling most people who fear cloning think that clone = exact copy, right down to the mind.
