Okay, I realise that I'm being terribly picky but I've seen this so many times its just beginning to really wind me up.
Your != You are
The word is you're. Notice it contains an apostrophe and an e on the end. Not difficult really, but it seems to cause so many people on here a problem. Just because we are geeks/nerds doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to write correct English, does it?
Not everyone is a coder. Some people just want to use free software. Once you start down the road of forcing people to contribute it is no longer free software in the real sense. So, if people wish to contribute with bug reports/code thats cool. If they just want to use the software, thats cool too.
Here was me thinking that/. was news for nerds on an international scale. This very american centric and totally unrelavent article seems to be totally out of place. Not that its ever stopped anyone before...
It does not matter if you are 5'5 and 90 pounds... chicks DIG this!!!
Thanks, but I don't think I want a pathetic loser for a gf. If women choose their bf's because they carry a football then I hate to think where the human race will be in 50 years time.
Damn right. I avoid overtime at all costs. I leave when my hours are done regardless of what I'm in the middle of doing. Of course... I then go home and code for 6 hours. But that's different... ain't it?;)
Amen to that. I don't earn an awful lot here in the UK, but you'd have to pay me a hell of a lot just to consider going to the US to work. FBI taking your fingerprints when you join a company? No thank you.
Its funny, but this kinda of thing doesn't happen as much in countries with a lower crime rate. I'm not saying its the answer, or the sole reason for this kind of thing, but it is certainly a factor.
A rather pathetic ststement considering you've never met me. But if you wish to hide behind your anonyimity and hurl abuse at others, you go ahead. Makes sod all difference to me.
But its a simpler scheme. 5.6.1 is far easier on the eye than 5.006_1 or whatever the hell their arse about face scheme currently uses. I think its a damn fine idea.
Never worn a suit in my life, and don't intend to start any time soon. Never felt the need to carry a brightly coloured piece of plastic around so I look like a prick either...;)
Yeah, okay. Perhaps I was a little more colourful (excuse the pun) with my language than I should have been. Its been a long... erm.. month. Anyway, my point stands and I'm glad you agree. Its nasty. Its so in your face its ridiculous. And it'll sell like hotcakes. There a whole bunch of people out there with absoloutely no taste whatsoever...;)
You'll walk into your local pet shop and place your order for your man-eating lion. Two months later you come back to pick it up, take it home, and let it eat your annoying neighbours. Cool...
Oooh oooh oooh! This is just so great! Now, instead of going directly to the web sites I want to look at, I can spend hours waiting for some P.O.S. portal to load instead. What a genius move. Its a wonder someone didn't do this before.
PHP3 is released under the GPL, so PHP4 has to be too
I was under the impression that the copyright holder can issue the source under whatever license they choose. Previous releases have no relevance. Of course, this only applies to the code which they own the copyright too. I'd assume that patches had been submitted to PHP 3.0 with other copyrights. This would complicate matters I guess.

I must say I'm impressed with the speed. Its damn fast. I cannot wait until this becomes stable enough for everyday use.
Kudos to the team. Many thanks for your hard work.
We don't have a fall here in the UK. Maybe they'll show it during the autumn instead. ;)
Now we'll have some really cool excuses for servers being down...
;)
Sorry, our planet was eclipsed.
Damn rocks got in the way of the packets I tells ya!
Ooops, wrong moon

Why? Because they cant program.
Well, in that case, please show us exactly how its done, Mr AC. Obviously you know what you're talking about, don't you.
Nope, it was just your average software house. Not me I hasten to add, but a friend.
hehe, couldn't help but snigger at this one ;)

Anyone else find that final sentence difficult to understand?
;)

Heh! Whatever you're on, can I have some too? Looks like real good shit... ;)

Wouldn't it be faster and cheaper to just write "beat the crap out of me, I'm a dickhead" on their back? ;)
No officer with false teeth should attempt oral sex in zero gravity.
That was one of my favourites...

And here was me thinking we had enough Americans running around the net telling us what we should be doing already.
*Sigh*
