i wasnt so much concerned with centripital forces but rather what would happen due to the jarring action of jogging on the ultra-highspeed bareings....
even at such a small mass, what would happen if there was a catastrophic failure in your shirt pocket?
WoW's content has very little drivnig force behind it.... I have never once felt that the missions i did had any reason to do the next one, they were always so utterly disconected that you had no idea who gave you a mission unless you read the text.
CoH/V however had AMAZING stories in their mission text (which i suggest you read). There is actual tension in the missions from one to the next. You knew who gave you the mission as the stories were so radically different that there was no way to confuse one story arc with another.
that is the greatest flaw with WoW... the mission storyies are extremely weak, to the point of boredom.
the fact that they didnt live much past 30 doesnt bode well... not saying it had anything to do with the crystals.. just that it is a little hard to get a long term study when everyone who uses it died from some ailment or another within a decade or two.
use two disks... problem soved. Sure, you will need to dupicate some of the textures, but for any liniar style game you can devide the game in half and only store the world textures for the part you need
true, however in terms of the items you could use... a warrior with a magic skill of 50 spent nearly the same number of points to use item X as the mage who got his magic skill to 50.
in AO, there is a FAR greater impact on your performance by putting points into "cross-class" skills.
not like this will be seen on page two... but what the hell.
I can say with 100% certinty that the net has GREATLY help my social life. I suffer from a rather permanent and disruptive physicological condition (that i wont go into details here) that was crippling my social interactions with the greater public. Through the net I was able to find, talk to and get support from others with the same condition. Suddenly I wasnt as alone, I found out how to seek treatment and now I am a FAR happier, more social, person.
Without the net i would still be wollowing alone in my room insted of enjoying life.
not even close... in diablo an amazon with X in strength had spent nearly the exact number of points as a warrior or mage with the same amount (there was a slight difference in starting stats).
In AO it can take up to a factor of FOUR times as many IP points to raise a skill for one class as it does for another. To go back to my example... the nanomage would have to sacrifice a LOT to get her rifle skill to max... to the point of crippling a lot of her primary skills (casting) for the majority of her levels.
I prefer Anarchy Onlines skill/class system. Every class has access to the same skills, only some classes can raise them higher and "easier" (cost less improvement points) then others.
EG: a nanomake and agent can both use the rifle skill... only the agent can get it far higher (both in base skill and self only biffs) and cost less then the mage. But if the mage REALLY wants to use rifles then she can.
it allows for a good amount of customization and also allows the devs to 'nudge' the player base in a specific direction. Of course it can be abused (caterwall rifle was so destructive in PVP that EVERY class used it untill it was made agent only) but what system cant be?
I do believe you are GREATLY over-estimating the legal powers of your govt to seize funds... anyone doing something as shady as selling bogus software would be an idiot not to have an offshore bank account... once its out of the country the feds cant get it back without a whole lot of hastle, if they can at all.
I dissagree. In the VAST majority of fraud cases the fine is peanuts compaired to what was actually taken, he can serve his 6 years and still come out a rich man.

I think that would be a cool feature. I would like the ability to tag content with a review for others to read later on, add to or disagree with as they please.
at least untill they appeal it to the supreme court and have it overturned. So long as the SC is the pet of the reps they can toss out any ruling they dont agree with (ironic when you consider how much of a stink Bubba made about activist judges)
honestly.... you cant stop it. they will appeal, it will go to the supreme court, and since the Reps hold the keys it will be over turned, and there isnt a damn thing anyone can do to stop it at this point.
play CoH/V if you want really diverse charcter appearance.
true, however they are also generally made of metals that are a HELL of a lot thicker then what would be used here.
you also dont generally wear one in your shirt pocket.

at half a million RPMs, what kind of damage would happen to this thing if it was put in, say, an MP3 player for a jogger?

what would it take to be a stinker!
6) go surfing in Hudsons Bay
generally "average life span" stats only count those who live to matureity... so your 5 year old would not have been counted

not for me... I can have a lot of fun on $300 compaired to the anoyance of needing to swap disks.

how is the Virtual Boy and N64 a con? cause they bombed? couldnt you also say that learning from those mistakes makes them a pro?
maybe not sweat off your back, but it will be money out of your wallet. You will have to pay for it weither it gets used or not.
Personally, if it's a uesless feature then I would rather not shell out the money for it.
well, if you're a law abiding citizen like me who doesnt pirate music, or allow others to pirate music I've bought then problem solved....
