Although this will be obvious to most people, it should be pointed at that 128kbps bitrate MP3s will generally be of a poor enough quality that anybody with decent ears and decent speakers will be left unfulfilled, and that's where the issue arises here.
It's worth pointing out that only the beta is free, and only for the time being.
"We have not announced pricing and licensing and will not do so until next calendar year. For the time being, we can tell you that the Express Editions will be low-cost and will continue to be easy to acquire."
It's good to see Microsoft trying to get on board with at least the spirit of Open Source.
You seem to think that anything free has to compete with your beloved Open Source paradigm. You'd be helping the project a lot more if you didn't zealously compare anything free with it. You're just exercising a negative stereotype about the typical geek.
Something I've noticed is that retro gaming means different things according to where you're from. Generally this is met with ignorance from the Americas, as they've not been exposed to our scene as people on our side of the pond have.
American retro usually means old arcade games, such as Pacman. Old consoles like Atari and NES are also common, whilst young, overly blog-keen teen Internet wasters think that their SNES is the most retro thing since sliced bitmaps.
European retro tends to mean Sinclair Spectrums and similar computers, with strong emphasis on the programmers and sceners involved, particular in smaller countries where more people know each other.
Amiga and C64 seems to bring common ground to us all, as most countries featured these as popular machines.
Certainly not - last time I used psychedelic drugs was September last year, and I usually space things out over a similarly large period of time. It could be argued that even staggered events will have a negative effect, but I don't think anybody is qualified to even show any consequential evidence of that.
Fresh. I'm not very sensitive to psilocin/psilocybin so I normally take an average dose and then increase it after I start feeling the effects of the first dose, it's the only way I can judge. My usual dose is 50 grams of fresh P. Cubensis, I've never experienced truffles before, but I believe that they roughly 3 times more potent per gram of fresh material.
I dose on fresh because I live in England, where the items can be purchased legally in their fresh state due to a shadowed area in the law.
I have just ingested a 20gram dose of psilocybe tampanensis truffles. If any psychonautic or curious geeks are interested in my post-trip retrospective, give me a shout out in a reply.
Don't kid yourself into thinking that nobody who complains has failed to realise these things. I'm afraid that however much you might think, you don't understand where we are coming from. There is more than simply disagreeing with the way things are, if you were incapable of being able to even feel human by submitting yourself in the way that most people do you'd perhaps be a little closer to getting it.
I know that what you're saying is true in a sense, although you would understand that if you were saying this from the perspective of somebody who has become truly depressed and disenchanted with their interaction with the world, that doing what you've described would be nothing short of a Herculean task. I think that somebody who has truly felt the same way that I have would read what you said and think "I guess he didn't have that same impossible to describe problem that I have".
Perhaps there is somebody out there who understands what I mean and could explain it without failing entirely as I've done.
Let's hope that this reader learns some lessons that you apparently haven't.
Happiness doesn't come from accomplishment, possessions, or the admiration/envy of others.
Happiness comes from within, and can mean accepting your own limitations, and the limitations of others. If you can't appreciate the qualities of those you term "stupid people," it will be hard for you to accept your own failings.
Being isolated and miserable isn't a result of "failure to submit yourself to the stupidity of our self-crafted society." It comes from not understanding how to form deep, committed relationships, in not finding joy in small, everyday things that are nonetheless wonderful.
There is a place for dissatisfaction with the status quo, for striving and achieving things that are new and unique. That's the path you take, not the goal, nor the meaning.
And always, always accept that sometimes other people do know better, and sometimes you are wrong. Humility is essential.
Oh, no need to go feeling pleased with yourself about being able to appreciate the things which really matter. I'm fully aware of those things, they practically define what I live for and chase in life. What I really mean regarding happiness in this context is in terms of the usual fitting in with society, graduating and getting the sort of job you always dreamed of getting. I should have probably explained this properly, but nobody asked my my life story and I've already given enough material to people who are going to make it today's mission to flame me for answering the qiestion the poster asked.
Sorry about the typos there, it's very late and I submitted that without proof-reading. First word should read "intelligence", before some lame fucker tries to point it out in the quest for a "+funny" karma ego boost.
Intelligent and similar traits as the poster has mentioned has led me to live a near miserable life. Education was never viable because I lost interest in the mind-numbing tasks assigned to me, and the way that only stupid people who are too ignorant to realise that the work assigned to them is trivial are praised for the bookworm success. You have to be stupid or entirely ignorant to be a successful person in this society crafted by charlatans and intellectual inferiors.
Failure to submit yourself to the stupidity of our self-crafted society just leaves you isolated and miserable.
The cost is 2,000,000 - for those of us who aren't actually American. Believe it or not michael (just a guess at the editor's name, I didn't look - but let's face it, it'll be him), some people don't come from America. It doesn't cost any dollars, because dollars aren't paying for it. Twat.

Opengl in php.. well, let's see, you could umm.. sell it to a PHB who doesn't know any better, or make bets with people at the local pub that it can be done and then whip it out to win the bet.
You'd have to find a pub full of freaks first, though.
Can you really be sure that the data is wiped? What if the memory is swapped to a page file or swap partition, later swapped back into memory and then you only erase what's in the RAM?
I'm doing a remake of the crap-classic Camelot Warriors, but I am incompetent when it comes to art as this prototype for the knight shows (I gave up when I got as far as the arms). If anybody can draw, please help.

Jazz is also a MIDI sequencer. Naming issues?

It's still a product.

not stimulate the intellectual part of the mind. Nor does it inspire to work on your general condition.
On mushrooms I do this: draw, write, and sit with nature. It's the most creative and important part of my life.
I'm interested in the opinions of a different demographic.

Flamers: chill.
Okay, but a number followed by GBP usually works well too.

Somebody doesn't live in a country where SATs are taken. Every course I've taken without giving up has resulted in a grade B or above.

Great, Slashdot actually cuts out the pound signs. That's good, eh?

Even with the high data rates we can achief today, this will be a while to be usable I think
Haha! You're illiterate and you state the obvious. I hope you die of cancer.
That might be funny if 1) Prince Charles was in the least bit representative of England 2) If it wasn't pathetic.
I imagine Prince Charles is off playing golf somewhere with nicer beaches.
