    no offence is taken, daveo is sorry if it is bothersome to you, pascal q. daveo's paresnts were not native-english-speakers and his mom for some odd reason (still not understood today! :) spoke in the third-person so it is a picked-up habiut. daveo's elnglish is not good in any-case, so he is seeing a therapisst of speech and trying to learn to speak better. there is no problem when a question is asked nicley, thank you for not flaming mr. porcupine! ;0)

    good point, daveo a full 3 days ago has registerd a new domain name on saturday. he was then sent an e-mail that said the registration could'nt be prosessed automatically. then they said they would manauly do it. well, sure enoguh the nsi's faq says 24 hours, but daveo's experince has been far more than that,m with now notice so far, and it is not expected to be done this week, if ever.

    is any-one in the /. readers aware of how long a manual prosessing would take, and do business days count in it by themselves, or should the time be counted from the day it is registered, no matter when?

    barring any new comptetion and that mp3.ocom stays in the lead, does anyone think that maybe the riaa woould be intrested in the purchasing of many shares,m being that they are afraid of the low costs for artsist making music, so they could make some of the money at least to avoid having lost most of the industry?

    can anyone who is more knowledgeable about this subject explain what affect this will be having on export encryption laws? if it *substitutes* the industrey endorsed bill, then why would it be more favoreable as hemos suggessts?

    daveo remembers in a while ago, the domain 'www.dejanesw.com' led you to another search engine, but possibly that is an obsolete now becuase of the renaming to 'deja'

    daveo thinks nsi should better increase service. why are big businesses allowed to later pay large lump sums? it should be the oppisite, they should need to pay up front, and we could pay later, daveo wonts to register his domain soon, will he have to pay up-front, what will the delay be?

    this was at first, and if you will have noticed many people others have too, many of daveo's posts are moderated down unfairly, and it is hard... but if you will read his posts lately they are mostley the same, some down, some up.

    daveo has an all in wonder, in fact, he is watching comeedy central right behind this comment box! just wondering if it was a vidio output wire (beacuse it looks a bit small) or of it was to record in a tape. still it is thought to be a bad spy device, becuase of the colored big wires, and in most likelihood is of rather fake textures.

    daveo looked on the page but their seems to be a lack or infomation reguarding wheather it uses a tape, or passes the vidio receptions to a monitor. $243 seems a little sttep. now how could those 2 wires, both black and white, be properly concealed with out any notice? that seems too be impossible, it could'nt blend in with any thing.

    oh, well thank you, daveo deleted the quake r.p.m. so tomorrow he must download it again. he likes tar.gz files usually but sometimes there are conflicts that don't happen with r.p.m.'s.

    what safegards do you think they had? maybe they check for patterns in fields such as email and name, but also maybe, do you think they would check for the ip addresses? and how would they see if it was a perl script being used?

    yes, daveo uses blackdown jdk1.2, which seems to be very compliant at this point. now did anyone see an actualy download *link*? dave osaw on the zdnet article links to other sites with non-linear browsers (shredder was decent-looking but useless), but no where to be found was the actual link to the java program? could some one be kind enough to post that, please?

    well the think is that the ascap can settle with people, only because the people know that if they go to court they wiull be losing much more money. so, they are really very powerful. tihs countrie's legal system is very sickening. what is needed is judges and juries that know how ludicrus this is. to say people cannot listen to the radio without paying is absurd!! hey ascap, guess what? you know what daveo is doing right now?? daveo is playing one of his many mp3s in his collection in front of many of his friends, and we ddin't pay, and we won't pay anything! if they ever contacted daveo, he wouldn't settle, he would write them back some good letters, and go to court if he must, but he would *not* stand for this ourtrage.
