I guess I really shouldn't be surprised by your lack of class, name calling, and your endless argument ad hominem. Your original post showed just how close-minded and irrational you truly are.
Well, let's see: The Jewish community was called in to consult with the Bush administration over the Holocaust memorial. George hasn't changed religious preferences has he? Anyone know if he's converted over lately?
Getting input from the Jewish COMMUNITY on a vote-buying memorial is not the same as consulting the Jewish Church (Temple, or whatever, I admit to not knowing the details) in the GOVERNANCE of the country.
What about Black history month? Did everyone suddenly become Southern Baptist?
Now that's quite an assumption that all Blacks are Southern Baptist. Not even close. News flash: race does not imply religious affiliation.
Oh yeah, and even when the Satanist's [sic] won the right to do their own thing did everyone in government suddenly convert to Satanism?
No. My point exactly. They didn't WIN the right to do their own thing. They were GUARANTEED to the right to do their own thing by the US Constitution. The GOVERNMENT isn't practicing satanism - hence the SEPARATION (or DIVORCE) of government and religion.
Hedonism anyone? Druid? Budda? [sic] Didn't the president (OH MY!) see the Dalai Lama? Oh my god! Now he must be one-a those-there feriners!
So he spoke with the Dalai Lama. Big frigging whoop. None of your examples show "guidance" by other churches. Acknowleding their existance is not guidance.
As to: The founding fathers were not using metaphors of marriage when they were writing the constitution.
Actually, marriage uses the LEGAL terms separation and divorce. Please note the part (in separation) where it states For people who want to avoid the supposed stigma of divorce, who hold strong religious objections to divorce or who hope to save a marriage, legal separation is an apparent solution. Sound familiar? Separation is NOT divorce.
Of course LEGAL terms are used for marriage/separation/divorce. That has NOTHING to do with my assertion that the founding fathers weren't using metaphors of marriage/separation/divorce in writing the constitution - Non-sequitur, dude.
I stand by my primary assertion: you are trying to redefine separation so as to allow more involvement by YOUR church. Your link to a definition of legal separation as it pertains to marriage is irrelevant. The US Government has never been married to any church, nor could they be in the LEGAL definition of marriage. Your marriage/separation/divorce argument is akin to my claim that the second amendment allows for me to remove the arms from bears and keep them.
Lest anyone forget, the words are "the separation of church and state" not "the divorce of church and state". IMHO, the difference is that the church is not to control the way in which the state is operated but is to work with the state to lend guidance when guidance is needed.
Good grief, talk about redefining words to fit one's agenda! The founding fathers were not using metaphors of marriage when they were writing the constitution. The idea of "separate" is make sure that no particular religion be promoted by the government. What particular church would you "call in to lend guidance?" Oh, the one you belong to - what a surprise. And when would "guidance" be needed? Perhaps when we started to figure out what garbage Genesis was!
The funny thing. I honestly believe I got a 2% raise last year. That is what everyone says the raises were. I was doing some record keeping this weekend and noticed that I actually got a 8.25% raise last year.
If you're too stupid to calculate your raise when it arrives, I doubt your performance will be missed when you leave.
This is, of course, possible - just find some stupid people. The problem is that a virus scanner won't do anything to protect you against this kind of thing.
Maybe Semantec should start selling stupid people scanners. Unfortunately, the scanners would go nuts in their own PR department.
The sad fact is that (IMHO) most people secretly don't think that prisoners deserve the full range of rights that are afforded to them.
Actually, I don't secretly think this at all. I personally think the US is too soft on prisoners. I say bring back chain gangs. Make those suckers pay for their own incarceration. I am proud to say I support "Stop, or I'll shoot."
And what is so wrong with a sentence of caning? In a word, Nothing.
But are those rapes systematically ignored by the prison system and your hallowed judges? YES.
Perhaps they are ignored by the prison system, but they are NOT ignored by judges. A judge sees all cases brought before him. In contrast, the aforementioned canings are HANDED OUT by judges, so your comparison is flawed.
As a final note, I don't "hallow" any judges - especially not any currently up for nomination to the Supreme Court.
This is either FLAMEBAIT -1
or INSIGHTFUL SARCASM +1.
I was going for "such amazing flamebait that it must be insightful sarcasm." At this time 70% of the mod points recognized that, while 30% didn't. So two out three moderators recognize sarcasm.
Not to belittle the important REAL applications, I want to be the first mad scientist to modify the formula so I can get the third arm and second head that Zaphod Beeblebrox popularized.
It worked great except on teenage IM and SMS abbreviations, then the scientists got the blue screen of death. It seems teenage speak is more indecipherable than Klingon.
1. Produce an Intel version of OS-X 2. Make a pretend announcement to change over to Intel 3. Leak the Intel version of OS-X 4. Let Windoze users salivate over OS-X. 5. Change back to PPC. 6. Windoze users buy PPC Macs. 7. PROFIT!!!
I like to know if the bar serves alcohol or just wine and beer, whether the waitresses are topless or merely scantily clad, if there's a cover charge (and how much), if there's a band or a lame jukbox, and finally if they have pool tables.
Oh, you mean those thingies with lines? Nevermind.
Hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but haven't you heard of the Patriot Act? This sort of thing has been going on in the USA since shortly after 9/11.
Particularly alarming is the fact that the study used the beliefs of 350 IT managers to determine how many hours a week the average employee wastes online.
Since the IT guys are the ones you can never find at work and never respond to pagers, how did they even ask them? How about, How much productivity is lost trying to find the IT guy?
See Douglas Hofstadter's seminal book for discussion of ant colonies, AI, emergent behaviour, etc.

It's not as bad as you state. I've been a victim of identity theft / credit card fraud / check fraud on several occasions. Each time, I was able to straighten things out without the gigantic hassle the urban myth pushes. My credit remains as stellar as it was before the incidents.
Please don't post articles that contain the words ROOT and TROJAN together. That is just too much for me at work.

This article should be modded -1, Troll.

The only kind of green that Wal-mart, McDonalds, etc understand is the kind printed with dead presidents.

Yeah, but are the inmates ordered to be raped by the judges? No, I didn't think so.
Not so surprising that those slant-eyed rice-pickers would stoop to such levels.

The hell? Step 7 should have been "???"... then "PROFIT!!" at step 8. You must be new here.
No ????? needed because there are no holes in this business plan.

4. Let Windoze users salivate over OS-X.
5. Change back to PPC.

I always appreciate the System Administrator on July 32nd. That way he gets all the appreciation he deserves.

You're right of course. The quote actually says "The Germans," not the Nazis.
From Red Dwarf: Rimmer describes Nazi Germany as "the runners up" of two World Wars.
