For instance, CDex can rip to OGG. That alone makes it superior in my mind. And correct me if I'm wrong, but WMP ripping doesn't allow you to change quality, or else makes it a real pain to do...
I dunno about everyone else, but WMP has been just getting more bloated since 7. For ages, I had downgraded WMP to 6.x, until a friend pointed out Media Player Classic.
Its not like I need the playlist stuff, Winamp (2.9) handles music, I only use WMP for video, which rarely needs a playlist, and even then, if I need a playlist for video, I do it with Winamp.
I work for the Philly government... and I haven't heard about this..
Actually, my department is going to be starting a pilot for the employees, now whether this will feed into the 'big one' or not stands to be seen.
I think he likely meant something more along the lines of a forced splash page that appears when first getting on the network. I know Waypoint does this.
hm.. uh.. hasn't CS ALWAYS been a free mod? I suppose maybe I'm out of the loop a bit, but AFAIK, it was still a free mod even when the retail version hit shelves.
However, they were still advertising them. The point of the matter is I don't see why you have a problem with it. Having those McDonalds adds to the atmosphere, no matter what you say.
Like someone said elsewhere in the thread, a freeway without billboards is odd. So why not put in real product ads, instead of fake ones?
So what if there were McD's storefronts in THUG? You do realize, that all the boards are branded by their companies (Toy Machine, Birdhouse, etc). So you want to eliminate the board designs too?
The way I see if, if the advertising fits (like the McD's storefronts) its fine. If it doesn't fit (like the webs on the bases) then it shouldn't happen.
Never noticed them... did notice the obscene amount of Powerade adage. Though I just rolled with it and drank it to regain health. Ads in games never bothered me, as long as they make sense.
Me too.
Really irks me because I almost actually fell for one.. then I remembered that my grandparents (their machine, they use EL) use EFT for payments, not credit card. Came within millimeters of screwing up big time.
You spent $100 on it? I'd hate to shop at that place...
And I found the controls quite fluid, and the camera, aside from occasionally being way to far out, never flipped like what you described... Of course, I had the 'Cube version, so that might be a factor...
I think Dell wants you to use their own branded S-Video adapters or cables. Funny thing is, I used the adapter from a Radeon VE, and bingo, it worked fine (this was an Inspiron 1100, btw), but in B&W. I bought another adapter, and what do you know, no workie. Tried flashing the BIOS, didn't work with EITHER. Flashed back down a version, worked with the B&W, not color one again.
As it is now, I figured out that if I use the crappy one so that it recognizes it, and then switch it to the color one, it works... ah, the lengths I go to to watch fansubs comfortably...
You can ctrl+tab between tabs too. I got used to it pretty fast
3 blue, 2 red, 5 green, 1 white, and 3 colorless. Oh, and it has an upkeep cost of 2 black/turn.
Its not so much the dust and debris in PA... the problem is more with all the craters. Except in the winter, the snow fills 'em up.
Reminds me of MS Space Simulator... I remember time scaling that and getting completely lost...
Maybe its different in your area, but Jeopardy runs on the networks... CBS around here. Thus, you shouldn't need cable...
I had one of those... never got to use it though, as Interact decided not to support 2k/XP.. never quite understood that move.
Sweet, thanks
Do they have them to convert Gamecube controllers? I've always liked them more.
Like I said, I use Winamp 2.9 for audio, which uses less overhead than WMP 7+
Hey, so I messed up. Like I said, I haven't used it in a while. The OGG statement still stands, however.
For instance, CDex can rip to OGG. That alone makes it superior in my mind. And correct me if I'm wrong, but WMP ripping doesn't allow you to change quality, or else makes it a real pain to do...
Forgot to mention, as far as ripping goes, CDex is a superior tool.
Its not like I need the playlist stuff, Winamp (2.9) handles music, I only use WMP for video, which rarely needs a playlist, and even then, if I need a playlist for video, I do it with Winamp.
Only if it falls in the next month. I'm on a co-op ending in about a month :P

per Fortnight
Get off the soapbox.

The NVidia NForce 2 and 3 chipsets have firewalls built-in to the firmware. Dunno how good they are, but hey, can't be worse than Windows firewall.
Me too.
