DNA is not the most stable of molecules, and actually breaks down rather easily. After periods as long as the time between the dinosaurs and now, the DNA has degraded a great deal and all that would remain are small fragments of DNA. Currently, there is no way to combine these fragments even if we were somehow able to obtain enough to creat a whol strand of DNA. Thus it is science fiction still.
One reason it may have been better in at least 5 and 6 is that they were not directed by Lucas, but by Irvin Kershner and Richard Marquand, respectively.
Same here. Any situational pressure that would destroy anyone else I know, I can handle calmly. Emotional, social issues stress me out and make me crazy though.
I don't know much about amps for just listening to music, but I play guitar and I assure you that you can get much nicer tones out of a good tube amp than from a solid state. I'm sure most guitarists will agree with me that you can definitely tell the difference (though I must admit, solid state amps have gotten much better recently).
I use Firefox 0.9.1, yet when I go to the page that gives the browser requirements for gmail, it says:
We're sorry, but we don't seem to be compatible.
Our software suggests that you're using a browser incompatible with Gmail. Gmail currently supports the following:
* Microsoft IE 5.5 and newer (download: Windows)
* Netscape 7.1 and newer (download: Windows Macintosh Linux )
* Mozilla 1.4 and newer (download: Windows Macintosh Linux )
* Mozilla Firefox 0.8 and newer (download: Windows Macintosh Linux )
* Safari 1.2.1 and newer (download: Macintosh )
While we're still testing Gmail, you can also click here to use your unsupported browser, though you likely will encounter some areas that don't work as expected. You need to have Javascript and cookies enabled, regardless of the browser you use.
I'm a fan of Guitar Player, too, and agree that it is the best American guitar magazine. I also subscibe the Guitar One, which is pretty good too. Each month I can't wait for those magazines to come. I consider myself a pretty good guitar player, but I've still picked up alot from those magazines.
I'm surprised that no other Slashdotters have posted about music magazines.
Oh, and I also read Sports Illustrated and Lacrosse Magazine. I don't spend all my time sitting in front of the computer or with my guitar.
It's quite funny how well you generalize and create stereotypes. In your post, you exemplify what you criticize. While there are surely some people who fit your description, there are just as surely people who do not. You really should think before you post.
OpenOffice.org was orginally called OpenOffice, but there were legal problems that forced them to add the.org because of a previously existing product with that name.
This is nothing new. These fonts have been around for a number of years. There are several programs that help you use them that have also been around for a long time.

Except we won't get to choose. I'm sure they'll send out both.
Buy him a license from SCO. I'm sure he'll love it.

Only in Britain. My dictionary spells it "meter" for either word. "Metre" is listed as a "cheifly British" spelling.
How the hell did this get on slashdot? At least it mentions The Postal Service's album.
This new is ancient. Teddy has been around for about 5 years now...
it's just hard to find. I suggest reading The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect, but you'll have to read it online.
