Your examples are terrible. Windows can't set the right resolution on nVidia cards without the drivers either. Does that mean Windows isn't ready for "prime time zero hassle common user usage?"
What about the geniuses who've sold Windows "without regard to education of the average business user on security?" How many SMBs have bought Small Business Server 2003 and had IIS compromised?
Also, you made the classic uninformed mistake of confusing Linux distribution-level mistakes with the quality of the Linux kernel. Now repeat after me: "Linux is not a distribution, it is a kernel. Any problems with the distribution, X errors, etc, should be addressed with the vendor."
Newest IE for the Mac? Got news for you pal. Microsoft stopped supporting that about 2 years ago when Safari came out. Delete it off your Mac, there's no use for it. Basically an IE 5x release.
Hmm. Sounds like you're trying to make IE like.....Firefox. It's a free download you know and you don't have to buy or dowload a lot of 3rd party propgrams to get RSS, pop up blocking, Flash blocking, immunity from Active X, tabbed browsing, proper PNG rendering, CSS support, etc... See a trend here?
Try reading my post or searching Google before you post crap like you did. Multimedia is not hard in Suse and I just held your hand and showed you how.
I'm doing fine without buying anything and he had no idea what he's talking about. And it definitely sounds like he's running MPlayer under Codeweavers since the Win32 port is the only version of MPlayer I know of that has problems with codecs. My multimedia experience on Suse has no problems and the parent poster is spreading FUD. Hell, I even told the guy how to do install what he needed!
Great another Gentoo zealot showing us Gentoo commands. Because MPlayer plays everything and the keyboard shortcuts for it are by far the most intuitive? Because Suse ships a crippled xine and it's really freaking easy to run "apt-get install MPlayer"? Because this a Suse topic? Come on, now.
Mods are on crack today. Modding up as Insightful some idiot who can't install Mplayeron Linux? Especially a distro that has precompiled MPlayer rpms built for it?
I got Suse 9.3 Friday after ordering from Novell.com 2 weeks ago.
mp3s work out of the box using Juk.
I watch DVDs using MPlayer which I installed using the apt port for Suse.
There are 4 mulitmedia packs you can download from Suse using Yast.
Understand?
You're on crack, right? You actually bought Codeweavers to run MPlayer ? The project that bills itself as "The video player for Linux"?
So what was too difficult? 1. Googling for the MPlayer RPM? 2. Using apt to install it (apt-get install
MPlayer) 3. Untarring it and installing it the old fashioned
way.
Or.... buying Codeweavers to run a Windows port of a Linux app on Linux.
Let me help you. Install apt and apt-libs. Run apt-get update, apt-get install MPlayer. Got it?
As far as MP3s go, I have Suse 9.3 right here and Juk playing all of my music imported right off my iPod which was supported fine using ipod:/ in Konqueror just as Suse said it would be.
I know you're probably either just trolling or afraid to actually Google for something but did you know there's 4 Multimedia packs you can download and install for free in Suse 9.3 using Yast?
So what do you mean by "obtained?" Stolen? "Borrowed?" And what do you mean by "spidering?" Trying to spam the addresses on my websites? Do everyone a favor and just post your IP so the Business Software Alliance can catch you warezing.

Washed and dried in my pants pocket and didn't lose any data or have any problems. Can't get any better than that.
Clicky
You're trolling.
Worked fine for me.
No, the upgrade works fine with Suse.

Then why aare you posting this stuff in a Suse/Debina discussion in a Suse thread? Useless info.

Read this. Go here. Let me know if you need help after reading those links.
Forgot to mention this earlier but it's not that hard to watch DVDs in Suse. Install apt. apt-get update, apt-get install MPlayer.
Yeah, I noticed it in the last release, 9.2
A roaming profile tool came out with 9.2 and is still with 9.3. Update your system.

It's Darwin not FreeBSD. Common myth.

to buy Tiger in volume? Got 30 sales guys/execs to upgrade and myself first of course for testing purposes ;)
"tired off?" Dude, you created a typo that I didn't make and criticized me for your poor eyesight..
You do know that BK is tired of people trying to reverse engineer their software, right? That's where this all started.
Up to date news like there's no archaelogical evidence of the book of Mormon? Particularly the lost tribe of Israelites in North America?
